season 1 ends with them escaping DAU and blowing it up. better said, them escaping the Octagon and blowing it up (i have more ideas for DAU history/lore). season 2 starts with them establishing a life in America, and then season 2 deals with them figuring out how to get away from the life of running n stuff. how do they tie up loose ends. gotta have a big bad tho. season 2 ends with them going all Ocean’s Eleven where they all scatter and assimilate into society with their new Regular Lives and Regular Jobs.
there wouldn’t be any communication between anyone on the team, but JT and Hiram still make it a point to meet semi frequently. different place every time, but consistent. she always viewed herself as a mentor for Hiram. Hiram always saw Jaden (as he calls her) as his older sister.
then one day JT seems… off. after placing their order, they chat and start off with the normal beginning small talk and then Glyph just goes “alright what is i–“
“they have my dad”
“they…”
“Dalton. dalton has my dad.”
“Dalton…? like, Dalton the guy that’s dead?”
JT nods
*pause*
Hiram takes a breath in. “Does he know that’s a death wish?”
JT exhales sharply in sardonic fear…
“No like, we’ll get him
“I don’t…” JT shakes her head in doubt, no, defeat.
Hiram studies her. “Jaden I’ve never seen you this scared. is it really that bad?”
Jaden looks up at Hiram and her eyes say everything.
Hiram looks away and shakes his head lightly, mind racing. the server delivers their small meal right as Hiram sits back in his seat and exhales with preemptive exhaustion. He politely and warmly thanks the server and then casually motions for JT to eat.
they eat in silence for a minute or two. Hiram takes another bite, sets his fork down, stares at the table in thought, bounces his leg a few times, then sets the fork down and looks directly JT.
slight pause. “So what do we do.”
JT looks over to the side, she’s almost… embarrassed? no, guilty.
“Alright.” Hiram starts to get up from the table, but grabs his phone and looks at the day. “… Tuesday sound good?”
JT takes a beat, then gives a single not.
“Alright.” Hiram puts his phone away, pauses, looks at JT with a the faintest first draft of a smirk “See you at home.”
Hiram gets out of the booth, gives a small hand-raise of acknowledgment and thanks to the server, and then walks out.
$165 Million + Interest by David Holmes plays
we’re getting the team back together.
(she looks guilty cause they all said it was done and they wouldn’t ever contact each other again… it was best for everyone)(so this technically is a violation of their agreement and she shouldn’t even consider it an option)(and yet here we are)
so yeah then in case it wasn’t clear Hiram goes all round and does the roundup. not sure who’s immediately down and who needs convincing, but it should be fun.
