Diamond Disaster

I am Abigail Aston, a geek with bright red, sparkly glasses, which makes me stand out from the crowd, even though that is not my ideal place to be as I am quite shy. Well I used to be, until I met Isadora.

First, I will have to go back to the beginning for you to properly understand this story. We were both sitting in the local park, doing our homework. We both knew that it was always so relaxing to smell sweet flowers, hear buzzing bees and sit on freshly cut grass. It was simply divine.

We had both been in the park every day, in the same position, doing our work. This was why it surprised me when she approached me. Isadora Cornelli, the amazing Isadora. I had always wanted to have a conversation with her, but I had always been to why to actually do it. Isadora was so different and I could not help but be attracted to her. She had so much energy, it was hard to resist stopping my work for a minute to speak to her.

She came up to me and said, "What is your name? I am Isadora and I will be a detective when I grow up."

At that moment, our everlasting friendship began. We were so different yet so similar and it made us inseperable. She could see the creative options in any case, while I did the logic. She was the person that inspired me to find my inner voice and I could not thank her enough for that. I was always trying to do the things that had to happen behind the scenes to make something work, due to my shyness, while she went out and did the mission to the best of her ability. However, and this is a big however, all our differences did not leave us too different, because we were both detectives with all our heart and would never forget it. This was the story of one of our cases, I hope you enjoy it. It includes bumps, surprises and adventure, I cannot believe that it is a story of part of my life!

The other day, we were in Isadora's kitchen reading the news. My parents are often very busy, because my dad is a surgeon and my mum is a lawyer. Because of this, I spend most of my time at the cornelli's house nowadays (Cornelli is Isadora's Italian surname, because she was born in Italy and came over to England to go to school).

Suddenly, Isadora jumped out of her seat in excitement. Sometimes I cannot quite see how she is so energetic. She was so excited that I actually had to ask what had happened.

In over excitement she said, "A diamond has been stolen. It is so excting. We finally get a case!"

A smile spread across my bored face. I loved Isadora best when she was working with me.

"Lets get to work, shall we," I said, so excited to see Isadora in her happiest state.

"Abigail, get a notebook now, don't take up too much time, we need to get to work, there could be a time limit before something really bad happens to the diamond." I scrambled in my backpack for my spare notebook and pulled out the newspaper. Isadora had another newspaper which was the one that she found out about the robbery in.

"Look, it says that it was someone with sleek, black hair and a muscular body type. I think I might check the criminal records for people with that description, even though it would only be a small list of suspects. Also, it is quite likely that the person will be on the list as they did have to break bulletproof glass."

She practically ran over to her laptop and looked up the criminal records in Leicester. It was quite likely that the person would be from Leicester because they would have had to have known that the diamond was going on display the next month. At the moment, it had only been publicised to the members of the museum after the last debacle in London , when the Crown Jewels were hidden after they were moved to a different place so they were easier for the public to see. They had to either move it to a place where more people can get in, and the Jewels themselves where they can be very well protected, or keep them where they were and have less people allowed in at any one time, but the Jewels were not as protected. They wanted to move them to a place where they were really well protected, and consequently looked over the fact that more people were allowed in. This meant that it was way easier for anyone to see them, including had people, who could do bad things to it. Even though the Jewels were very well-protected, they couldn't control the people who got in, so anyone with anything could do what they wanted when they were finally in there. This flaw that the government didn't notice led to the Crown Jewels themselves being stolen, even though they were found and moved to the place they were in previously. There has been no news since we it was such a bad memory that people just wanted to forget it completely.

"So, our initial suspects are Ross Lonsdale, Marc Jacobs, Anthony Hopkins and David Silva," said Isadora.

"So, how should we start? " I asked, as I could not really remember how to start a mystery off.

"Well, I think we should have some time
