"Oh yeah, I live in Sunnybrook. Y'know, the apartment building?" She gestured to the brownstone she was staying in. It was a beautiful place, really. It used to be some historical voodoo queen or another's fancy mansion but had been divided up into tiny apartments. They were quite splendid. "Where are you staying?"
"In the apartment buildings off of Charles Avenue," Cyprus explained after a moment, taking a sip of his coffee as he looked up towards the other. It was a pretty run down apartment building, though the neighbors occasionally hosted a few dinner parties that he attended…so he supposed that it was alright.
"Dude! That's right across from me. How do you like the beach? Your apartment's only a few blocks away." She raked a hand through her hair shoving a few loose braids out of her face. "I'm actually throwing a party, tonight for all the monsters in the neighborhood. Wanna come? I promise I'll have all the goodies."

Calix walked into the cafe slowly. He hadn't been here before so he decided that it would be a good place to see. He walked over to get in line.

"I'm actually throwing a party, tonight for all the monsters in the neighborhood. Wanna come? I promise I'll have all the goodies."
"I…I'd love to come," Cyprus nodded, the faintest trace of a smile crossing his lips as he looked up towards the girl. Next to her bright hair and eyes, his own features seemed to pale even more…though that seemed to be the case whenever you were a spirit.
Lyra grinned. "Perfect! Be over by… 7 or 8, I guess." She turned to the guy sitting beside Cyprus with a sharp grin. "The invitation is extended to you too, just in case you wanna tag along." She turned to a table where a girl with a large snake tail was sitting and greeted her cheerily.
Vanca looked up half startled and managed a small "greetings." Before snapping her attention back to her phone awkwardly.
"So, you're new here? Right?" Lyra asked, leaning a bit too far into the girl's personal space. "I'm Lyra. Who are you?"
"I'm uh Vanca." She said as she l eanded back a bit. "And um yes I'm new. I guess." Vanca offered a small smile trying to be polite.
"Radical. I'm throwing a party with some friends for all the monsters n the block, wanna come? It'll be really fun." She shot the girl a smile, hoping she'd come over. She wanted to meet as many people as possible and this seemed like a great way to do it, especially when there were way too many people working their way into the neighborhood for her to keep track of.
"Um I guess." Vanca had never really been to a party before, and one that was for monsters sounded fun. A way to make new friends and meet new people. "Yeah I'll come." She fixed her answer not wanting to sound like she'd flake out and not show up.
"Cool! It's at Sunnybrook apartments, room 345. Be over by 7-8!" She pushed her glasses back up her face, covering her flat, ocean eyes. "Oh! I'm Lyra by the way! What's your name?" Sweet! That was… a lot of people. 2 from the coffee shop, plus some of Lyra's friends and friends of friends and whoever the people brought along. Not bad.
Calix got up to the counter and order a coffee then sat down at a table and slowly drank it thinking of what he was going to do for the rest of the day. He decided he would probably go back to his apartment and do nothing for the rest of the day. He kept drinking his coffee thinking random thoughts.

"I'm Vanca, and uh yeah see you then." Vanca gave another small awkward smile. meet new people, make friends. easier said then done.
"See ya!" Lyra cheered. She scooted back to her table, sipping on her drink and scanning the cafe for new people to talk with. She laughed a little to herself. When had everyone else become a sidequest?
He sipped his coffee then decided to go on his phone. Nothing. There was nothing. He sighed then kept drinking his coffee.
Cyprus nodded towards the girl with a small, faint smile before he took a sip from his coffee, deciding to look at the others in the cafe. After skimming over a few new faces, his gaze caught on a pale boy with darker hair. He watched them for a few moments, hoping that they wouldn't look over too suddenly.
(oof heck I forgot to ever join this. What kind or character is needed? Straight, gay, pan?)
(We have 3 guys and 2 girls. The guy characters are pan, bi, and gay. The females are pan and the other is straight. So, idk. But like there's all the sexualitys of the characters so far.)

Calix didn't notice anyone watching him at all and kept playing games on his phone as he drank his coffee silently alone.
(Flirty demon boi, innocent cinnamon roll dragon boi, or a nekojin who goes against all neko stereotypes… hm)
(Breaking stereotypes is always fun)
(lmao, and we have Cyprus, the shy, awkward ghost.)
Cyprus continued to watch the other boy for a few moments until he looked down, drawing his attention back towards his coffee. Maybe he would see them at the party? He shrugged faintly to himself, humming in thought as he occasionally glanced up towards the boy a few times.
(Yeah, feel free to toss in whoever you'd like @Haunted-Iris)
