"No. You take my hand…" He cringed. "Then we teleport there."
"No. You take my hand…" He cringed. "Then we teleport there."
"Oh, good lord." Mozzarella groaned. "You mean I have to touch someone like you? Come on!" Strapping her guns into her belt, Mozzarella wound her finger - only her finger - reluctantly around Artemis'.
"Yeah, you have to touch me, what a goddamn sin! And I don't want to either, so suck it up!"
Mozzarella pretended to vomit as she purposefully reset her finger position so her middle finger was now wrapped around his - a reasonably clever way of conveying her message.
(very clever)
The exact instant their skin pressed together they got transported to a large kingdom-like place. IT was huge and built of marble and there was a flight of steps leading upward.
"Come on, stupid mortal, up the steps." He started up the steps without waiting for her.
"Good lord, that escalated quickly. Haha, funny joke. Escalated. So did the stairs. Yes? No?" Mozzarella tried, and shook her head when there was no response. "See, this is why I always have to hate you, because you hate me too." She began her climb, running up the stairs after Artemis, who escalated much faster.
Havenwood clearly wasn't amused as he clambered up the steps, hoping the other will fall and possibly to her death.
"Fine. Be that way." She grumbled, trying to keep up with Artemis' large strides.
But the steps couldn't be climbed without fail for a mortal, and halfway up the giant flight, Mozzarella took a stumble. A terrible stumble. She was doing to die.
(Can Artemis catch her hand….absentmindedly…and then be fake disgusted? Please?)
Havenwood whipped around suddenly, her sudden movement catching him off guard since he was… well… the God of Hunting. He grasped her hand and held her up with pure strength.
Mozzarella stared up at him for a few seconds in awe, then helped herself up onto the steps, purposefully wiping her hand on her jeans, fake disgusted.
"They should give me one of those things for old ladies where you can sit in a chair and it wheels you up. I need one so I don't die. Um…Thanks." Mozzarella didn't know what to say except for to offend Artemis more.
Havenwood wiped his hand on his pants and shook his head. "Let's go." He continued walking.
"How much longer? I said I wanted to see Zeus, not endure a gosh dang full day cardio workout," Mozzarella commented after about half an hour later.
"You wanted to visit Mt Olympus. It'll be a few more minutes."
"What's your definition of a 'few more minutes?'"
"A few more minutes!" Havenwood snapped.
"That's helpful," Mozzarella looked back at where they'd just come from, and swayed a bit to see they were above the clouds.
Now this was something that she'd never believe she'd be doing two days ago. She'd take whoever told her to a cheap psychologist.
Havenwood climbed on past her. "Come on!"
"You're a god. Don't set the bar too high, yeesh." Mozarella returned her gaze upwards and followed his lead.
Soon, the pair reached the top, where two large golden thrones waited. They were facing away and they could hear voices drifting from the two large thrones.
"Zeus, everyone's really getting out of hand. I'd recommend that-"
"Hera, silence. I've got everything in control." Interrupted a loud, booming voice.
"So these are the guys." Mozzarella cupped her hands together.
"Hi there!"
(facepalm from Artemis maybe)
Havenwood glared at her and nearly pushed her off. "SHhhHH!!!"
Too late. The pair noticed and they looked over from their large thrones. Zeus spotted Havenwood and rose. "Ahhh Artemis. You've finally found the mortal, yes?"
Havenwood sighed and briefly bit his tongue. Havenwood looked… genuinely afraid of his father. "Yes, sir, I found one."
"Hi, sir. And ma'am. I've heard a lot about you." Mozarella called up, fearless and seeming to enjoy Artemis' exasperated facial expressions at her antics.
Havenwood glared at her and Zeus looked at her. He looked… majestic which was the only way one could put it. He had long graying hair and he was taller than Mozerella could ever imagine. His very presence seemed to crackle with the thunder that he could wield.
"I like this mortal. She's very… outspoken."
"Thank you. I try." She replied, shuffling her bunny slippers.
Zeus laughed humorlessly and turned his gaze on Havenwood, who flinched somewhat. "You know what I'm going to say. She may stay with you for the time being."
"But… sir, I don't have the room." Havenwood practically whispered.
"FIND IT!" Zeus roared, whipped away and walked back over to Hera.
