Okay, so I'm using this for a novel. Don't try and plagiarize anything, or I swear to the Lord God on high and all that's holy I will find you, and I will….. give you a good telling-off. Also, I'd like more experienced roleplayers that are meticulous about grammar and spelling and punctuation, etc, and that will be committed to this, but anyone can join as long as they are committed. Anyways, the story goes like this:
Four friends come together to save the world. Yup, that's basically it. But allow me to explain my world:
There is the Desert Island of Skarün, a barren place inhabited by vultures, lizards, general desert animals, and Skarünians, humanoid scorpions. They have beady, purely black eyes, onyx black hair, a scorpion's tail and stinger filled with venom that can temporarily paralyze, but can even kill in large enough doses. It is also extremely potent when diluted, serving as alcohol, so Skarünians need to beware of black market mercenaries. They also possess a cut through their upper and lower lip that normally looks like some sort of scar, but can open up to reveal a gaping mouth of deadly sharp teeth when all four sides of the lip open up. These creatures are durable,their skin tough and generally difficult to bang up too badly, but they heal a little more slowly than normal, so if they do get injured, better have a healing potion in hand. Also, they have a high tolerance for alcohol and can resist most poisons due to an extra liver with better blood filters than that of a human.
Elves:
All have tall, spiky horns, but varying eye colors, skin tones, and hair colors.
Light Elves:
Pure white skin, horns, and hair with golden eyes.
Night Elves:
Inky black skin and horns with pure white hair and white speckles all across the skin, as well as glowing blue eyes.
Forest Elves:
Green skin, green eyes, brown hair, and horns generally in neutral tones.
Vampires:
Pale, black hair, what more do you want? They can turn into half-bat, which is furry-er than normal and has large ears and wings on arms, or whole bat, which is no longer humanoid, and is basically a giant bat. Yup. That's basically it. They do drink blood, but don't consume that alone contrary to popular belief, they can eat and drink most things normally. There is a lot of racism against vampires though, with terrorist groups even torturing, raping, murdering, and mutilating vampires for fun.
Humans:
You know em', love' em, are em'.
Those are the main four species we'll be using.
Then there are Arcane, powerful mages that, if trained well enough, could take out a small army in minutes. Or at least according to legend. But people are afraid of Arcane, and if anyone shows signs of being an Arcane (namely, the silver marking on their left wrist, normally a marking that in childhood will be nothing but a circle, but will develop into a specific shape that matches their personality as they grow older.) they will be killed, no questions asked. Our characters are Arcane. They have been hidden from sight by the cruel Lady Hawke, but now they have left the foster home to seek their fortune together. But darkness is falling over the World. Can it be saved? We'll just have to RP and find out.
Rules:
Same andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) laid out. If things get steamy, either timeskip or take to PM. Shipping can be figured out at the beginning, but even if we do know who to ship with who, have it develop through the plot. LGBTQIA+ is always welcome, rating for this will probably be R since I intend to make this be a little darker than my normal stories. Also, THIS IS BASICALLY MEDIEVAL TIMES!!! PEOPLE THINK THAT GAY OR TRANS IS BAD. WE KNOW IT ISN'T, BUT CHARACTERS WILL HAVE TO SNEAK AROUND ABOUT STUFF LIKE THIS!!!! Capiche? Good.
