Mare left her hand loose, letting Marianne guide it to her mouth. The contact sent a jolt up Mare's arm. She bit down on her lip and slowly looked over at Marianne.
Mare left her hand loose, letting Marianne guide it to her mouth. The contact sent a jolt up Mare's arm. She bit down on her lip and slowly looked over at Marianne.
Marianne kissed the tip of each finger, then proceeded to brush her lips across the knuckles of Mare’s hand. Intertwining their fingers, she rolled into her side, ending up with her nose to the other girl’s shoulder.
Mare let go of the sheet and softly ran her thumb down Marianne's cheek. She kissed the top of Marianne's head, bringing her arm tighter around Marianne, holding her close. Mare tilted Marianne's head up, looking her in the eye.
(Do you bare: A Pop Opera?)
(bare? I haven't heard of it, though)
Marianne let their noses bump together, leaning into her girlfriend's caresses. "You're amazing…" she breathed, "In every way. You know that, right?"
(yeah sorry, I meant do you know it. Its a musical and it has risen to the top of my list recently. It's my new favourite, and I definitely think you should check it out. There are also incredible bootlegs on YouTube if you watch those )
Mare's shoulders shook with silent laughter. "That's what I like to believe." She booped Marianne's nose, overwhelmingly happy. "And I could say the same," she added soflty, tucking away her girlfriend's hair. "You're so beautiful. And good. You're just so good. It's unbelievable."
"Good?" Marianne propped herself up on one elbow, leaning in close in order to pepper Mare's cheeks with tiny, feathery kisses. She shifted closer, raising her eyebrows. "What do you mean by that?"
Mare's face flushed and she gently traced Marianne's shoulder blades.
"You're supportive. Kind," she tried to explain. "You're a walking ray of sunshine, nice to be around." Mare smiled up at Marianne. "You are good."
"If I'm good, what does that make you?" Marianne questioned, blushing lightly. "An absolute goddess?"
Mare breathed a laugh. "I'm far, far below you. You are simply the epitome of goodness. There's no topping you."
Unable to resist the temptation, Marianne slipped her arms around Mare and rolled onto her back, pulling the other girl with her until she was straddling her (Marianne's) waist.
"You just did."
Mare held her breath, suddenly feeling exposed in her flimsy dress. But, this was Marianne. It wouldn't matter if she looked like a half-chewed tree stump– she trusted Marianne enough to not have to worry about that.
"What a witty turn-around," Mare muttered. She leaned slowly, gaze never leaving Marianne's.
Marianne let her eyes fall shut, her hands lightly cupping Mare's cheeks as their lips met. A warm feeling bloomed in her chest, chasing away all other thoughts.
A soft sort of joy melted away from the kiss, coursing through Mare's blood. Her hand combed through Marianne's hair, tangling in the dark honey strands.
Marianne let a soft, pleased sound slip from her mouth to Mare's, her hands sliding down to her girlfriend's waist.
Mare slowly lowered herself nearer to Marianne, propping herself up with her free arm. Leaning into her hold, Mare broke away from the kiss, drawing her lips along Marianne's jaw down to top of her neck.
Mare’s actions prompted an audible gasp from Marriane, who arched her back and pressed her torso flat against Mare’s, her hands tightening on the other’s waist.
Taken by surprise by Marianne's reaction, Mare stopped for a moment, staring down at her girlfriend. She couldn't quite pinpoint what she felt at that moment, but it was enough for her to know that she was happy.
Mare ran her hands along Marianne's back and waist, carefully kissing her, keeping the closeness she'd brought on.
Marianne's lips curved up into a slightly breathless smile. "Sorry…" she breathed, "You caught me by surprise."
Mare grinned cheekily. "Anytime." She smoothed the loose strands of Marianne's hair back. "Do we stop here?" she asked tentatively, unsure.
Marianne nodded quickly, her eyes flickering anxiously to the door. “Yeah. I don’t want to—“
(wait, they're at Marianne's house, aren't they?)
(Didn't Mare take Marianne to hers?)
(nope you're right I'm so sorry)
Mare backed away, sitting cross-legged on the bed. "Yeah, I know," she smiled. "Neither do I."
