"They all have valid points." Court spoke up, not looking up from her phone. "We've all likely been lied to before by adults, so what makes you so trust worthy?"

Valeria felt her heart sink. Of course it wasn't a good idea to trust this man. She decided to make eye contact and look for lies in his eyes.
(that rhymed lol)
The man glanced around at everyone sighing softly. “Continue driving, please,” He said to the bus driver, who smiled and continued driving. “If you don’t believe me, you will once we get there, I know it sounds really far fetched but believing me is all you can do.”
Court placed a hand on Val's shoulder and squeezed, in an attempt to comfort her, as she tucked her phone away.
This is either gonna be way better than I expected and the best summer ever or I'm being horribly manipulated and I'm gonna need therapy, Bailey thought, bringing her other leg up on the seat next to each other.
Valeria turned and smiled at Court. "Do you believe him?" She whispered.
"Believing him is better than not believing him. I'd rather not think about what it means if he's lying." She said, a warm smile on her face. "Let's hope he's telling the truth, right?"
Valeria nodded and turned back to the man.
Mendax looked down at his hands, they were trembling. Not good. They thought, placing their right hand over the left in hopes that the shaking would stop.
Bailey stared out the window as a sign appeared. It read, 'Safe Haven Camp! Welcome LGBTQIA+ Youths! Est. 1997'. Bailey read the sign, her eyebrows shooting up in silent surprise. Church people wouldn't know about the "IA+" part unless they were part of the community. . . . Maybe this was real. She didn't see any other counselors though.
Within the main office, Frankie looked up from her book. She had heard the bus rolling up the main drive. Jumping up, slapping on a pair of shades, and whipping her firetruck red hair up into a ponytail, she flung herself outside, her lithe body covering the distance to the curb within a moment. Frankie waved wildly, snapping her gum. She loved bringing in new kids.
Practically bouncing on her toes, she waited for the bus to come to a stop. The grin on her full, pink lips almost swallowing the rest of her face.
“Well, anyway, we’re approaching the camp in about two minutes, and we’ll let you off. If you could please stay in an orderly line so our counselors can document all of you sccordingly, that would be stunning!” He beamed brightly, his eyes twinkling. “Welcome to Safe Haven.”
Court didn't bother turning off her music as the bus pulled to a stop, but she shot a slightly nervous look in Val's direction, hidden behind a bright smile. Here's to hoping.
Bailey draped her headphones around her neck as the bus rolled to a stop. An overly cheerful girl who looked like a counselor stood outside of the bus, holding a clipboard and grinning. Bailey stared at her fiery red hair, mesmerized. A small part in the back of her brain that already believed in this camp wondered if she would be allowed to dye her hair here. She looked at the other people on the bus. Would anyone get up?
(Btw there are some returning campers (cause the counselors will tell the parents, "oh they need more training blah blah blah" so the parents send them back) but they will be coming tomorrow. If anyone wants to do another character as a returning camper you can. You can also make another character as a counselor if you want)
(I will make another character boi.)
(Are ships allowed, MM?)
((oh, could i make a returning camper too?
Ryan shook with excitement, gayness being equal? Oh hell yeah! I must be as gay as possible! Ryan shiver his phone inside his pocket, then shook his arms up and down. Hehe! I’m going to be the best gay boy there! I will finally express myself!
(I may make a returning camper because I wanna ship)

Backstory: Born to a family of Russians, Yukio always stood out from his other siblings. He wasn’t the brightest, or even the smartest for that matter, but his parents kind of excepted him. That all changed when Yukio got a boyfriend at the age of 16. His parents were in no way shape or form okay with it, so they made him break up with his boyfriend and started sending him to this camp. He would always come home a bit different, but they kept sending him back to make him less gay which isn’t working and get him away from his siblings.
