Mendax twirled a pen in their fingers, their eye twitching with how nervous they are. I'm going to die… Mendax realized, letting the cold truth sink in.

Valeria made eye contact with the girl sitting across from her.
((would that be court?
(ye)
(she just doesn't know court's name. i didn't think that out very well, did i?)
Court raised an eyebrow at the girl looking at her, pulling out an earbud. Faint music could be heard from it, something with a heavy base, as she leaned forward a bit. "Somethin' I can help you with?" It wasn't rude, but it wasn't too friendly, either.
(Hey guys I'm gonna drop out of this. I'm not gonna be very active much. Sorry.)
"Hi." Valeria grinned. She seemed happy, but her eyes were full of fear.
"Hello?" Court looked a bit less bored, but still not too interested. She didn't see the point in bonding with anyone at a place like this camp.
"What song are you listening to?" She asked, desperate for conversation.
She sighed and gestured for the girl to come sit next to her. "Till I Collapse. It's by Eminem." She offered the earbud.
Ryan heard silence through his ear, only a single conversation passed by. He grabbed the earbuds packed away in his pocket. Plugging them into the phone, he scrolled down the playlist, noticing half the songs he bought were completely gone. He sighed, resting the buds inside his ears, before putting on a random song. After that he beat his head onto the seat in front of him, trying to forget about how his parents said they would kick Ryan to the cirb if he didn’t change his sexuality.
Valeria smiled and walked across the isle, forgetting that the counselor at the front of the bus had said to remain seated until the bus stopped.
Ryan peered over, noticing some people misreguarding the rules. He sighed as he quickly shut his phone off completely then put his ear buds into the dimension of his pockets.
"Name's Court. You?" She asked as the girl sat down.
Adamo glanced up into the mirror that the bus driver was using, blinking and standing up a little. “Hey, bus driver, you can stop the bus. I want to lighten the mood just a bit.” He beamed, his fingers uncurling.
The bus driver nodded and pulled over, and Adamo stood to his feet. He beamed his classic Friendly Italian smile, clapping his hands together.
“Hi everyone! I think we’re out far enough for me to explain to you what’s going on.”
"Valeria Edison. Call me Val."
Court nodded and turned her attention to the man who had stood up, forcing a smile.
Ryan awkwardly shuffled away from the crowd of people, even if it wasn’t that big he didn’t want to find a guy he could be somewhat attracted to. He needed to not seem gay just for one more year, then he could gay out as much as his heart desired. He didn’t dare look at the man directing the other camp members, mostly because it was a guy, and no gayness right now. WHY DO I HAVE TO BE SO GAY!? He thought to himself as he covered his face now exploding with anxiety.

Joanne lifted her head, rubbing furiously at her red-rimmed eyes. She gave the guy up front her full attention, figuring that she should get the lay of the land before descending into another panic attack. Breathe…..
“Welcome to our camp, first of all,” He hummed happily, beaming. “Before we reach our destination of the acutal camp itself, as just wanted to say a few welcoming fords, and perhaps fill you in.” He rubbed his hands together, his smile growing wider.
“You are not where you think. You are not going to a correctional camp.” He loved talking to the afraid and somewhat anxious kids before they entered their camp. Just the way they perked up when he told the, they weren’t going where they thought… it just made him sleep well at night.
Joanne's eyes widened, fear and distrust flickering briefly across her features. "Where are we going then?" She raised her voice as to be heard, sarcasm lacing its way through her words. "To a place where we can 'reconnect with God and find our true selves?" To hell if she was going to go along with this bullshit, however much she wanted to curl up into a ball and cry.
Ryan’s head jolted up, shit I was right! This is conversion therapy! Ryan the began to panic, not expecting the sudden acceptance of the answer. Oh shit… what the hell are they going to do with me? Cut my dick off? I’m so concerned… Continuously questioning himself, Ryan then rushed to a new seat, empty, as far away from the man in the front as he could be.
Court's eyes flickered to the girl who had spoken up, and she watched her instead, not trusting herself to look at the guy up front.
Valeria jumped up. "Shut. Up. My parents would never send me her. Did they pay you to try to make up piss ourselves with delight, and then you'd laugh in our faces?"
