Once his house was in sight Damian relaxed a bit. "Home sweet home." Hunting was a lot harder with someone else, he actually had to look after someone. The bows and arrows dropped to the ground. "Welcome little wolf pup." He gave the small animal a smile and patted its head.
Riverpaw made a content noise through her nose and looked around. S-s far, no danger…okay..
Edwin took the to the house and set it down gently, but still brushed his hand over its fur, “What’s your name?” Edwin mused, then looked at Damian, “Is it a guy or a girl?”
"Its a Female." He looked down at the wolf. "You can tell by her markings and how small she is." Damian used to have a wolf when he was younger. But hunters killed her, he hated hunting ever since but he he doesn't do it he won't be able to sell which means no money. "She's healthy though, so that's good."
Riverpaw looked between them for a moment before she sat down, yipping at Edwin. I-I can't talk to them in this form…b-but.. She hadn't changed in a few years, last time she did was the day before she was separated from her father and sister. Still, if they were so intent on keeping her around, they'd have to see eventually.
“You’re quite cute,” Edwin coddled the pup, scratching behind her ear, “Though I still don’t know what to call her.”
"Whatever you want I guess." Damian said as he went to get a bowl of water. She might be thirsty. "Here little one." He set the water on the ground for her.
Riverpaw sniffed at the bowl, then looked up and yipped gratefully at him. M-maybe j-just this time? Just to t-tell them my name..? She backed up a little, looking at the floor.
“What’s wrong?” Edwin asked the pup, not expecting a response. He cocked his head to the side.
Riverpaw sat down, looking up at them with worried eyes. P-please don't freak out. Please d-don't be mad..
Edwin reached out his hand to the pup, “You okay? Aren’t you thirsty?”
(Question: Why does Riverpaw stutter in her thoughts? I mean, I get that she's a nervous person, but usually stuttering happens when a person is nervous in such a way that they can't properly articulate their thoughts. Usually a person thinks clearly)
(ehh idk. That's just how I've always written her thoughts. I mean…she doesn't think that clearly, she's usually arguing with herself about speaking and decisions and stuff, even in her own head. shrugs)
(Lol, I actually stutter in my head I just realized, I don’t think I’m normal)
(no-one's "normal" these days. It's pretty great)
(What is the standard of normal? If you think about it, no one is normal. Every person is different, so there's no such thing as normal. Sorry I'm doing the thing where I get all deep and stuff again)
(Yep. If someone was normal, how could they have a story worth reading? It’s comforting to be able to know my life is screwed, but it’s still interesting lol)
(philosophy…and stuff…tries to be deep, falls into a hole I'll just be here.)
(Shall we get back to the rp?)
Riverpaw shook her fur, and closed her eyes, focusing on her human form. Nnno…can't do it… She shook her head and yipped in frustration.
Edwin frowned and glanced at Damian, but looked back at the pup, “What’s wrong? Something’s wrong.”
"I don't speak wolf." He shrugged. "I mean that would be pretty cool." He laughed before taking off sweaty shirt.
