"I'm sorry, I don't know who that is." He leaned against the door frame "And does it really look like a prince would come here?" The place was a bit run down, it would make no sense if a prince came here. Yet, he had one here anyway.

Maxwell’s eyes widened with concern. “Are you sure you haven’t crossed pass before? Prince Edwin has the poise and etiquette of a noble man. I’m sure that would make him stand out.”

@Fantasy-Illy!

"There have been plenty of nobles in town who walk the same way." It wasn't a lie many came to buy meat and other stuff from the stands. "How would I know what he looks like?" He shrugged.

@Fantasy-Illy!

"Sorry, I haven't seen anyone like that." He sighed and pointed to the forest. "Honestly, he might have walked off into the forest, it get dangerous out there at night though. if he did I hope hes alright."

@ODragon

Maxwell swallowed hard. “Well, thank you for your time.”
From there Maxwell left to began to search in the woods.

Edwin heard Maxwell leave and looked up at the hatch cautiously in the dark, “Is it safe to come out?” He asked, barely more than silent.

@Fantasy-Illy!

"Yes." Damian walked back into the kitchen and checked on the potatoes. They seem fine. "Alright, it's time for the meat." He grabbed the bowl full of meat and took it outside. "Do you know how to start a fire. It was simple, but he didn't know how much he actually knew how to do.

@Rvan group

Edwin looked hesitantly at the wood, then glued his eyes to the ground as he responded, slightly ashamed, “No… The servants always lit fires for me…”

@Fantasy-Illy!

Damian shook his head. How much did they actually do for him? Did he learn nothing of doing hard work? He threw the fire in and tore a few pages out of a book before lighting them and also throwing them in. It too a few seconds before the wood set on fire but as soon as it did he held a iron rod with a wood handle at the end and held it over the fire with multiple pieces of meat on it

“I want to live like you,” Edwin blurtly, heat rising to his face. He continued anyways, not being able to meet Damian’s eyes and rather looking a the slowly growing fire, “I hate being a prince. They teach me all the wrong things. I can name the family lineage of all the nobles in my country, but I can’t even start a fire.”

@Fantasy-Illy!

"You'll get the hang of it." Damian accepted the fact that Edwin would be living here. He has a lot of work to do though. A lot. "You will start with the easy stuff first them work your way up."

Edwin finally looked up at Damian, a spoke with the most sincerity he’s ever expressed, “Thank you.”

(#training montage lol)

@Fantasy-Illy!

Damian smiled. "No problem." It was the first time someone wanted his help. It made him a bit happy. But still, this kid needed help.

@Rvan group

For the past week Edwin worked with Damian, trying to lift his own weight as best he could. He trained and learned so much in such little time. The palace men were searching for the ex-prince, but to no avail. Edwin avoided going into town at all costs. Edwin had grown out his facial hair, so he looked different, which helped. Edwin only found himself wondering about the princess, and if she was happy or concerned about her betrothed disappearing, every once and a while. It didn’t matter in the end, because he would probably never go back with good reason. He even started learning how to hunt. Edwin examined himself in the water’s (let’s just say there’s a nearby pond) reflection. He even had a slightly better build.

@Fraust

(Surely there'd be major search parties before then? It's highly unlikely Edwin wouldn't have been found in a week. And yes, you can be Savannah's friend @StarkSpangledBanner . Maybe he heard about the assassination attempt and came to the castle?)

@Fraust

Savannah was still stuck in the hospital wing, growing restless and afraid. "Where has Edwin gone? He isn't dead, is he?" She paced the room as best she could with an injured leg, pale and frightened. "Why haven't the guards found him yet? The wedding is supposed to just be in a few days!"

@Rvan group

(Maybe a certain princess should look for him instead, since it took a week for her to ba able to walk again *winks awkwardly lol)

@Fantasy-Illy!

Damian was impressed with how well Edwin was doing and only in a week. His build was better he could now cook a few decent meals and start a fire. There was still somethings he could work on, but it's only been a week. "Want to bring some water back for me?" He was already at the pond so he might as well.
