Jay put up a dark voided wall before her, “Skylar, come now, I thought you didn’t want to be a criminal like this boy,” Though, you could clear see Jay’s shock behind his words. Rvan heard him mutter under his breath into an earpiece, “Send in the jets, father.”
Rvan’s eyes widened as he saw the shooting star blaze right towards him. And then he struggled. Rvan, his twice broken pain induced arm and all, clawed at the scales Jay wore. Jay looked down at him, kicking and pushing, “Pet,” Jay’s voice held so much disdain, “Stop.”
The pure command in his voice, the way Jay’s claws could easily puncture Rvan through the heart, made him stop out of fear. But it done it’s job, Jay’s attention was on Rvan long enough. Jay hadn’t realized the void barrier had been shattered until Skylar hurled into Jay.
An inhuman roar escaped Skylar’s maw as the wall of void splintered into nothing . The fire dramans and earth dramans followed her and roared like the demons would on Judgement Day. Skylar swiped at Jay’s neck with her wings, expecting to scrape it with ice. However, she burned his neck with fire. Skylar’s draconic eyes widened. She was on fire! It didn’t hurt and frankly it felt good.
Jets zoomed past, shots whizzing past the dragons, some bullets clinking off the earthern dragons scales. Most jets were being thrown down by boulders and shot into flaming piles of debris. Jay snarled at Skylar, the burn singing his skin, “What are you doing? Don’t you want to be with me?!?” Jay growled as he shoddily evaded other attacks from the protèges and mentors. Rvan hung limb now as he was hurled around every time Jay moved.
“I’d never want to be with some sh*tty guy who enjoys torturing and subduing other dramans!” She bellowed. Skylar slammed both of her flaming wings into Jay’s. There was s unpleasant searing sound and the flesh of his wings started to melt from bone.
Jay hurled himself away, his wings torn and the skin literally melted. Rvan was feeling nauseated, energy spent do he hung limply. Jay lifter him up the dragon eye level. Then put a sharp claw on Rvan’s neck. Rvan stilled, looking only at Skylar’s flaring form. If he was going to die, he wanted to see his- Skylar one last time.
“Don’t move or you know I’ll kill him,” Jay roared across so every draman could hear. They could also hear the sound of an approaching helicopter (which is carrying gas to knock them out, btw).
All of the dramans had ceased firing the instant Jay made his threat. Skylar fluttered before Jay and Rvan. She stared at Rvan. He looked tired, but no longer scared. There were stars sparkling in those dark eyes as they met hers.
“Jay, please.” She gasped. “Please, don’t kill him.”
Jay raised his eyebrow, and huffed in frustration. “I see. So you would rather save this puny, disgusting criminal over me? That’s the most twisted thing I’ve heard from you, Skylar,” Jay spat out, “But you know what? I think I know why, because a girl would never go for him unless,” Jay paused, a maniac grin apearring slowly, “They were bonded.”
“Which leads me to believe, Skylar,” Jay continued, “He has you under a trance. He’s holding you with the bond as his leash,” Jay brought his claws over Rvan’s head, “This criminal must be punished,” As soon as Jay finished his sentence the darkest shadows possible covered Rvan’s face like a blindfold and animal-like screams came out of that abyss. Rvan thrashed as hard as he could in Jay’s grasp. Jay wouldn’t let up as the helicopter came dangerously closer.
Skylar tried to think clearly and logically. She tried to, but Rvan was screaming, her heart was pounding, the helicopter was coming and Jay said—oh gods—that she and Rvan were bonded. They couldn’t be bonded. The bonds between dramans…those were fairytales her mother had told her as a child. Rvan shrieked louder, drawing Skylar’s attention back to earth. She couldn’t attack Jay head on, not without hurting Rvan in the process. There was only one Skylar could stop Jay, but it was insane…
Skylar clutched her skull with her draconic hands and roared in pain. She tried to think cold things like to northern breeze, fallen snow and Rvan. Fortunately, the flames started to burn out and icicles replaced them. Her scales returned to their normal alabaster color. Changing back towards her icy form made her feel somewhat sick, but ignored the sensation. Once she had finally returned to her ice form, looked at Jay again with eyes full of disbelief. She tried to imagine Rvan’s death. How the light would fade from his eyes. How she’d manage live her life knowing never see him again. “J-Jay,” She muttered as tears began to slide down her scaly cheeks. “You freed me,” she lied. Skylar took a moment to stare into his dull blue-gray eyes. She imagined Rvan’s eyes and how they sparkled. Then, she looked at Rvan. Rvan was starring back at her, opened mouthed and wide eyed. Skylar forced herself to remember how Jay had made Rvan shake, hours ago in the earth dramans’ kitchen. “Drop him, Jay. Send him plummeting to the ground so he’ll know what my pain felt like.” She snarled.
(I’ll have you know Rvan did not ‘open mouthed’ and ‘wide eyed’. Here’s what he really is)
Rvan looked at Skylar, fear still haunting his eyes, but… exhaustion took up most of it. He felt so, so weak. And he was tired. And honestly, he agreed with Skylar, the best thing to do was just drop him out of the sky. That way he would never have to be in his mind again. He would never have to see those things again. Rvan’s throat was in ribbons from screaming so loud. He didn’t want to scream anymore. Rvan just wanted to shut off. Rvan didn’t have a reason to stay anymore anyways. He was betrayed yet again.
So Rvan was happy when Jay let go of him and he plummeted through the air.
(Hurry up and P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-POST)
Once Jay dropped Rvan, Skylar shot an ice spear strait into her ex-boyfriend’s heart. Then, with wings set aflame, Skylar dove for Rvan. He seemed so small when Skylar was in her dragon form. She outstretched her talons and desperately tried to grasp Rvan. The ground was coming fast. “Rvan!” Skylar shrieked.
Jay, his chest covered in a bulk of ice and bleeding, felt so clunky as the dramans he set out to catch dived downwards. Anger built in his chest. He wouldn’t be able to get to them, though, so he rather, for his own life, flew to a safer landing spot and the chopper followed him (to help him).
Rvan fell, hope sparking in his chest as Skylar reached for him. He reached out grasping at air with his good arm. He just wanted to get to her, but he was falling too fast. Tears started to stream down his face as he looked at Skylar blazing down at him, “I’m okay,” He told her for comfort.
He hit the trees, then the ground. Dead.
(Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat! You killed, Rvan! You monster! You terrible RPing partner! All of the stalkers will weep when they see this!)
(Hurry up, I wanna see reactions from Skylar and Draco and Nula and Ramell)
/Everything’s gonna be alright, everything’s gonna be okay, it’s gonna be a good, good life. That’s what my therapist’s say/
/Woah, where did the party go? We’re ending it on the phone/
Skylar burned through of trees and crashed into earth mere moments before Rvan hit the ground. Skylar melted back to her human form. “Rvan?!” She screamed as she got on her knees and pulled him into her arms. He hung there limply in her arms. She already knew deep down that he was gone. She could feel it in her very bones—but gods, this couldn’t be happening. “Rvan,” she gasped as tears began to cloud her vision. She felt so empty and his body felt so heavy. “Rv-Rvan?” She muttered before she began sobbing. “Oh Rvan, please, please, please wake up.”
All the protèges landed on the ground. They shifted to their human forms. Draco paled as he saw Skylar leaning over Rvan’s body. They were too late. Gregory was frozen. Kyle was pale. Thalia was crying into Kyle’s shoulder. Nula slowly walked to Skylar and put a hand on her shoulder. Skylar shook her off, crying into Rvan’s body. Draco felt tears escape his eyes. He needed to get over there and do something, but he felt paralyzed. Rvan was dead.
Deviros watched his son as he fell from the sky. He watched as he hit the ground. He watched as his son’s pulse stopped. And he watched as the burning star fell after him. Deviros watched as his son’s bonded cried. Deviros took a breath, “Please let me save him.”
”Would you rather him be down there than up here with you?”
“Yes. He has work to do. Please, Lord,” Deviros looked up from his position.
”Okay. You may.”
“Thank you. Thank you,” Deviros repeated. Deviros breathed life into his son, gifting his powers into his youngest child once again. Deviro’s wife, Natalia, put her hand on her son’s forehead and cleared away the dark, painful thoughts.
Rvan slowly opened his eyes, but he didn’t look just yet. Something was different. Something was back. Something familiar. Rvan looked to Skylar, who was crying into his chest. He touched her shoulder and then held her, “What’s wrong?”
Skylar’s eyes went wide. She blinked. “Rvan…?” She blinked again. “Oh my, Deviros! Rvan!” She kissed him on the lips. “If you ever die like that again, I will kill you!” She threatened as tears of joy filled her eyes. She sat up and looked at the fire and earth protégés. “He’s alive!” Skylar declared.
Rvan stared at Skylar in shock. She kissed him. A small subconscious smile appeared on his face.
Draco’s breath caught and he landed on his knees next to Rvan, “Y-You died, though.”
Thalia ran up and hugged Rvan outright (a fren hug)
Kyle’s breath caught and he instantly started smiling. The heavens were looking down on them today.
Gregory outright squeaked and ran and hugged Rvan too. Ramell grinned and kissed his wife and the earth protèges looked at each other, the appreciation of life apparent in all of them.
Rvan, beneath everyone’s hugs, looked curiously at Skylar, “How did you know it was him?”
Skylar cocked her head to the side. “You mean Jay?”
“No. You said ‘oh my Deviros’. How did you know it was him?” Rvan asked her. Everyone seemed to get quiet, looking wide eyed at Rvan.
