He's in the midst of flying to the stars when a crash springs him awake. He quickly gets up. "Aim?" He calls out.
(Oh god is this planned? If so what should she do lol)
Aim jerks slightly, swinging her legs off the sill, "Axl?"
(I don't really know anymore XD sorry my brain's frazzled from school, lemme fix it, I don't know where I was going)
He heard her voice and relief washed over him. He remembered now. It was a dream. He rubbed his face, running his hand through the hair that stuck out of his beanie. "Sorry, I -uh- bad dream. Nevermind." He'd been fine sleeping before when he was alone. Before, he stayed in the same room as his four year old sister, there only space enough to share a room. It was painful to fall asleep without the sound of her breathing at first. He slowly got used to it. But now, it was odd. Knowing that there was another human being near brought him back. He sat back beneath the register, eyes still open.
(Nah you're fine I was just wondering lol. My brain is like that right now too)
"Axl? You ok there bud?" She didnt hear his retort. She looks out the window then stands. She makes a beeline for the cash-register desk and raises her sniper. She marched out to the entrance of the desk, pointing her gun down at it where Axl was. She drops it though seeing him still asleep. She stands there for a moment. He looked so peaceful but also. A bit. scared.
She shrugged it off and walked back though the isles to the window, snatching a bad of chips as she goes
Axl turns in his sleep, his sister's face coming to mind. He hears her screams for him but he can't move. He twists a little, muscles building tension. 'Axl!!!' 'Ella!'
Aim rests her head on the cool glass of the window, gun at the ready but loose in her hands
Axl jerked awake again this time in a cold sweat. His shirt stuck to his chest. Something felt off, like it was shaking. He had yelled. Shoot. He didn't want to make her think he was being attacked.
Aim shrieks slightly, jumping at the yell. She had whacked her head on the glass of the window
He heard a thump. Might as well get up. Even though every muscle in him told him to just lay back down, his mind disagreed. He got up and walked to her, rubbing his eyes. "Are you okay?"
"Why the hell did you yell?! Ow!" She was holding her head. A zombie was just outside the window where her head once was. It was gumming at the window trying to get inside
"I-" he looked to the tile. "Sorry. I. Just couldn't sleep. Bad dream. You're welcome to go to sleep." He motioned to the register.
Aim looks down at her watch, shakes it then looks up at Axl, "It's only 11. We switch at dawn. No arguing or I'll smash your head in like I will this guy soon." She thrusts her thumb over her shoulder at the Zombie.
He sighed and chuckled a little. "Aim, there's no point. I can't sleep."
"I never said you had to sleep. Just not take the watch. Haha." She does finger guns at the guy
"What's the point of that?" He scoffed and sat next to her.
Aim flinches sligtly, rolling her eyes and head. She looks back at the window and gags, "Jeezus. I forgot you where here." She says through the glass at the zombie in a sort of sing-song tone of voice.
He looked to it and laughed. "Have you ever noticed how ugly they are? Like, actually ugly?"
"Can't. I thought you where uglier."
"Ouch!" He playfully shoved her.
She shoved him back but laughs. The zombie outside pressed his face to the glass since she had gotten closer to it.
He leaned his back up against the window and laughed, closing his eyes. They burned.
"Gross…" Her mind goes blank for a second and the artist part takes over. She could picture waht that zombie must have looked like back when he was still alive.
He laughed a little. He could feel himself slipping. He didn't understand why. Maybe it was just the fact he could hear her breathing.
Aim smiled at the gaping, rotted mouth of the zombie. Her mind was still in her artistic realm.
