@A5_ WICKED
"Where? This is a gas station and I already have everything. Just not ammo." She swings he backpack off her shoulders.
"Where? This is a gas station and I already have everything. Just not ammo." She swings he backpack off her shoulders.
"You're right." He sighs. "Let's just get out of here." He starts to walk towards the door.
Aim follows, cursing as she tries at the trigger with no ammo, "It's jammed now anyway. I can't use it." She puts it over he shoulder anyway.
He continues through the door, the bell ringing as he opens it. It's dark outside, the starts fully twinkling in the sky. He looks up and sighs. "How is it that in the middle of the apocalypse, the stars still shine brighter than before?" He knew there was a scientific reason, no lights means we can see them easier, but it still mystified him.
"Why does it matter? We have to get up off the ground and fast." Aim had spotted a few 'runners' in the distance, "And knock out the stairs.'
He snapped out of it. "I- yeah." He looks to her. "After you."
Aim snarls and marches off toward a different apartment building, "We'll have to clear at least the second floor and knock out the stairs bellow and above." She commands
"Okay." He was a bit behind. There was the feeling again. It hid in the pit of his stomach. He couldn't pinpoint it, but he knew it was there.
Aim yawns and starts running toward the place, "Hey! C'mon!"
He starts to jog to keep up with her. Not sleeping the night before was starting to catch up with him. Not only that, but the fight had wore him out.
"Have any more fight in ya? There are at least six in here and I dont know how many on the second floor." Aim commands once peering through the front window.
"Huh? Uh, yeah." He checked his gun. "I think I have enough for six."
"But there's more upstairs. Most likely. Are you sure?" She reaches forward to grab his arm. He looked exhausted and just about ready to fall over.
He jerks his arm back, not realizing it. He hasn't actually come into contact with another human since his sister. "I- sorry." He sighed and rubbed his face. "Yeah, it's fine. Let's go."
"You sure? We could find a field or something t hide out in"
"No, we wouldn't survive the night." He coughed a little. "Let's just do this."
"We would out in the open there are hardly any Zombies." Aim continues, actually grabbing his arm just in case.
An odd shiver ran up his spine when she grabbed his arm. "I, uh, okay. Whatever you say." He was too tired to pull out his demanding self. At this point, until he needed to battle, he was on low energy.
She nods, "Now you're making sense. C'mon." She guides him by the arm out toward the gas station again, "How about there. We already cleared it anyway."
"Are you sure?" He looked to her. "I mean, those zombies came out of nowhere, there might be more."
"We'll take our chances then. I'll take the watch tonight." She opens the door t a familiar jingling sound and guides Axl toward the front desk where the cash register was, "You can rest here. Maybe under the desk."
He didn't bother to complain. He sat beneath the register. "Make sure you wake me up for the second shift. You can't take the whole night."
"Watch me." She challenges and walks out to the main windows and sits there on the sill on the inside.
He watched as she walked away. There's something different about her. To that thought, he closed his eyes, slowly fading off into a reality that didn't consist of the dead roaming as the living.
(What reality wink wonk. I have problems…)
Aim stares out the windows, watching a few zombies able past slowly.
