He winces as she tries to care for the bite. "There's nothing you can do." Why does she care so much?
"Yes there is… But… You wouldnt like it. I blocked the blood flow from your arm to the rest of your body so it wont spread but…"
He knew what she mean. "My arm…" He wanted her to be safe. He backed up a little bit. "Why do you even care? Why don't you just leave me here to die? Or, I guess, to not die?"
She pause, her hands where shaking slightly on his arm, "1. You're the only human I've met that didnt try and kill me on sight. 2. Because Im not selfish." That last one was a lie and she knew it but didnt say anything
"Wait, you've seen other humans?" And they've tried to kill you? "I'm not saying to be selfish I'm saying I tried to save you and you need to let me do that."
"You already have!" She looks around for and ax or something sharp. She couldn't prevent the tears now
He walked into the shack and came back out with and axe. It wasn't very clean, but they couldn't do much. His voice is soft as he handed it to her. "You need a fire."
"Do you have gunpowder?" Her voice cracked and broke as she takes the ax.
(To cauterize the wound)
"I don't know." He handed her his gun. A spring of pain ran up his arm making him wince.
"Hurry. Sit down!" She unloads the bullets, emptying each on out into a pile. She grabs his arm and forces him down on the ground. She then takes up the ax, "Im sorry!" She swings it over her head after touching it just above the tie where the healthy part of the arm was.
Pain. That's all he felt. Running up through his arm and everywhere else. He looks to her in desperation. "Just do it."
"Sorry." The ax swings down and cuts straight through at the top of the tie. The thunk sent a shudder through her body so violent she collapsed and hurled int the grass.
Everything blurs. One moment he's looking just past the axe above him to the stars and the next, he's screaming as if every part of him was being set on fire. After a few moments of endurance, he passes out, hoping for a painless sleep.
Aim quickly gathers herself and sparked a fire on the gunpower pile. She dragged Axl's arm over to it and started to quickly cauterize most of it. After that she wraps it in her jacket and ties it. She then leans over to his head, feeling his pulse.
It was mostly painless. It wasn't that he was going through pain, he just wasn't going through it. He winced in his sleep, the only sign of pain that was shown.
Aim checks the wound again. It was bleeding slightly but not much surprisingly, "Axl?"
Somewhere in his dreamless sleep he hears her voice. He grunts in respond, trying to pull himself into reality.
"Axl? Are you alive?" She looks around. He was too heavy to pull back to the shed. And they where in danger zone out in the open like this. She stamps out the fire.
He slowly drifts awake. It's nimb by now, which was worse. All he could do was tilt his head a little as she stomped out the fire.
Aim turns back toward him, "Oh. You are alive. Good. Are you ok?'
He can't seem to open his mouth. He simply stares at her, his eyes watching her every move in a soft manner.
"Im sorry. But you'll be fine now though." She crouches down next to him
There's something really different about her. He takes his right arm and lifts it up to her face. The moonlight hit her face on the side highlighting her. He still can't say anything, he just stares at her.
"What? Can you not talk or something?"
(Time to get this ship sailing?)
