"This is the formal dining room," Bianca explained, hoping to god everyone could remember where all the rooms were. She would have to travel all the way from the basement, where the servants quarters were, up to the third floor in order to leave them around. "Mistress has asked that you eat dinner here every night, but you can take the meal in your room if you really want to." She let them take in the room for a second before leading them to the informal dining room.
Cynthia spoke up asking Bianca a question. “Do you know what time dinner will be served?”
"Of course Madam," She began, lowering her head to a respectful tilt. "Dinner is served from six to seven." She addressed the group again. "This is the informal dining room, where you will be eating breakfast and lunch. Food is served from seven in the morning until one thirty in the afternoon."
Cynthia nodded, taking note of all the times so she knew when to eat.
Bianca was supposed to take everyone around the lower levels of the house, but she was tired. The sooner she got this whole tour over with, the sooner she could nap. She led everyone into the library, the parlors, and the sewing room, skipping over just about every room that wasn't strictly necessary. Then she led everyone onto the second floor, showing off the various sitting rooms, Mistress' second favorite parlor, the drawing room, the three studies where the nobles were allowed, and the green room. She loved the green room, it had walls made of glass and was filled to the brim with plants and flowers.
"Do you know if the duchess hosts dances or something of the sort?" She asked Bianca, hoping the answer would be yes. She was quite fond of dances or balls where she could meet more new people.
Bianca nodded, eye lighting up at the memory of the last ball. "Yes, all the time! Mistress is most fond of balls and such. In fact, the ballroom is on the first floor, though it is closed to you for now." She led the group up to the third floor, where the nobles would be staying. "You rooms are on this floor, your name will be marked on the door."
Lucy walked to her assigned room and opened the door. It had almost everything that she would need. She called up her butler's to bring her luggage and clothes.
Cordelia walked to her room, taking note of all the names on the rooms around her. The room to the right of her room was labeled 'Lucy' who had already gone into her room. Cordelia opened her door. Her room was beautiful. It was tastefully decorated and the view was magnificent. She opened the doors to her balcony and looked out at the garden below.
Angel walked into his room, looking around at the space. "Not as large as im used to, but it will do." He mutters and takes out his luggage, starting to unpack.
Lucy started placing her clothes in the dressers and her make-up neatly on the counter. She then looked inside her own private bathroom and saw how there was a Jacuzzi- sized tub and a corner shower. The bathroom was very large, almost the size of a living room in a normal house. She looked at the different soaps and shampoos in glass bottles, storing that in her memory for later. When she finished organizing her items she went back on her bed to read as she waited for the next event.
Bianca began the long walk back to the servant's quarters, only to be stopped by Matteo. "Our lady Giovanna has instructed you to bring the honorable Miss Lucy up to meet her." He pulled gently at his lapels, nodding sternly to her before he walked up the stairs. Returning to the Mistress' side no doubt. She sighed, walking up to Miss Lucy's room and knocking on the door gently.
Cynthia walked into her room, looking around. She sat on the bed, admiring the walls. The walls were painted such a pretty color and she wondered if others had the same or if they were color coded. She thought it was funny that the walls were almost the same color as her dress, a light blue.
Lucy gracefully got off the bed and put her book down while going to answer the door. "How may I help you?"
Matteo walked up to Lady Cordelia's room and rapped on the door three times. He had been instructed to lead her to the secondary sitting room and keep her company while Madam Giovanna spoke with Lady Lucy.
(Omg sorry, I didn't see this till now)
Cordelia looked over at the door. Someone was knocking. She walked over to the door and opened it, finding an older gentleman with greying hair who was obviously a butler or a valet. "Hello. Can I help you?" she asked, standing in the doorway.
"Yes. The Mistress has instructed that you come to the waiting room. She will be seeing you once she has finished speaking with Lady Lucy," He explained, voice monotone and expression blank. He gestured to the hall, silently asking her to follow him.
"Oh, alright." She started out the door then stopped. "Do I need anything?"
"No." He set off at a swift pace, darting through the halls at a speed most could not keep up with. Once he reached the stairs, he slowed to a more reasonable pace, leading to Mistress Giovanna's secondary sitting room. "We will be here for a while. Would you like to know anything?"
"Well . . ." Cordelia thought for a moment. "What is your name?" she asked.
"Matteo, my Lady." He said, pulling a chair from a shadowy corner and dusting it off so she could sit there if she wanted to. "I am Mistress Giovanna's head servant, master of the staff and estate here."
Cordelia sat in the seat Matteo had pulled out for her. "Well, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance Matteo. How long have you been working for Her Grace?"
(Is Lucy with the Duchess now or is she still at the door.)
(Lucy is with the Duchess)
(do i need to do anything)
