"Learning as much as I can under Giovanna," she said. "I really believe she will be a valuable resource in learning how to connect more with my people and learning how to . . . rule." She took another bite of her food. "What do you plan on doing?" she asked.
"About the same as you are. The connecting with my people is already covered but I would like to learn more about choosing the right choice, whether it is to benefit my people or the country as a whole."
Angel is currently in the library, pouring through medical books.
"Yes, I really do think that part will be challenging," Cordelia said, setting her fork down. She had finished her food, as had Lucy, and as she looked around she noticed most everyone else had too.
"Do you have any hobbies, other than strict business." Lucy asked after wiping her mouth with her napkin.
"Well I know it's mostly not technically allowed but baking is just so fun. Oh! And I love dancing. I do hope we have dances or balls during our stay here," Cordelia answered smiling. "Do you have any hobbies?" she asked Lucy, turning her head to look at her.
"Well, I have a few but they've stopped letting me do it when I was a teen. I used to love playing sports in our backyard. They said it was unladylike by the time I hit 13 and that I needed to start being proper." Lucy replied before continuing. "I do love dances too and hope the same thing as you do. It's one of the only other fun things that I can do at my age."
"What kind of sports did you play, if you don't mind me asking," Cordelia said.
"Baseball actually. I was great at it, I would wake up early in the morning just to play it everyday. I played it with my twin sister too. She uhh… she died when she was 15 from a freak accident, but it was fun times." Lucy stopped to take a breath before she got to emotional. "Sorry, I didn't mean to get like this." She said while wiping her eyes to make sure no tears had came out.
“Hey,” Cordelia said in a soft voice, placing her hand on Lucy’s arm. “It’s alright. Would you like to talk about it perhaps another time?” she asked, not looking at the rest of the dining room.
"Yea," Lucy put her thumb under her chin and her hand over her mouth while she cleared her throat. "That would be nice. I never really got the time to talk about it when it happened and most people moved on except for my immediate family."
"Yes." Cordelia looked down at the table. "Families like ours are often like that." She turned and smiled at Lucy. "But that's why we have friends. I'm sure we'll have time to talk and such after dinner."
Lucy took another sip of her wine before looking back at Cordelia. "Where should we go to talk. I'm comfortable speaking anywhere, even if it was the bathroom."
Cordelia smiled. "I'm not sure if that will be necessary, but if the situation presents itself, a bathroom would do. However, we could go to my room. It may be a bit more comfortable than a bathroom, but then again I've never spoken of my feelings in a bathroom, so I don't know for sure," she said, a slight, almost unnoticeable twinkle in her eye.
Lucy laughed a bit, not wanting to draw attention to their side of the table. "I was kidding with the bathroom thing. A room sounds more lovely than there and more private I guess."
"Yes, definitely." Cordelia looked around at everyone else, then looked back at Lucy. "Was there anything else you like to do? Or any other sports that you liked to do?"
"Well, I did love running track. My parents made a small little track for me to run around in when I was around the same age with the baseball. I couldn't go out and show how fast I was but I was fine with keeping it in my home." Lucy looked up at Cordelia smiled, happy that she got her mind off of other things.
“Corbin Abbot,” He answered. “And you?” He asked. God, he was burnin pg up in this uniform. He reached up and pulled his usual royal guard helmet and ran a hand over his stubble before smoothing his hair back
"Bianca. It's nice to meet you!" She said, holding out a hand for him to shake. "You should probably put the helmet back on if you don't want to get killed by Matteo when he comes around. He's a rea-" Matteo stepped from around the corner, making her cut off her sentence with a squeak.
"What are you doing here?" He asked pointedly, raising an eyebrow.
(Sorry for not answering. I was on a mental heath break)
Corbin quickly put his helmet on when the man, who he assumed was Matteo, came around the corner. He looked over at him and straightened his posture. He assumed the man was talking to him. “I was brought along to help guard the royal families rooms.”
"Well, I did love running track. My parents made a small little track for me to run around in when I was around the same age with the baseball. I couldn't go out and show how fast I was but I was fine with keeping it in my home." Lucy looked up at Cordelia smiled, happy that she got her mind off of other things.
"But are you fast?" Cordelia asked, raising her eyebrows. "Do you think you could beat anyone at this table? Hypothetically, of course." She smiled.
Lucy matched the same eyebrow raise and drank from her wine. "Hypothetically, I think I could. I was quite the runner." She chuckled at the end of it.
"Hmm, interesting. Now hypothetically, of course, would you be up for challenging someone here to a high stakes race, if the need arises?" She took a sip from her glass. "Because, hypothetically, it would be good information to keep in mind."
Lucy laughed at their excessive use of the word 'hypothetical'. "Hypothetically, I would be up for the challenge with the high stakes included. But sadly, it would be impossible to prove that."
"And why's that?" Cordelia asked, grinning at her.
"Well, it would be seeming unladylike to the others, annnnnddd I do not have running attire with me." Lucy said while laughing.
"Well, hypothetically, I suppose we shall have to change that." Cordelia took another sip from her glass. "Because you will never know when the hypothetical situation will arise."
