Eyes widening, she glanced around, trying to locate the rest of the money. "Uh – "
The person’s cloak shuffled as they pocketed something, then they rested their hands back on the counter. They were mottled and worn, with rather long fingers with pale skin.
Fuming, she slid off the bar stool and stormed away, keeping one hand on her purse.
The bartender rolled their eyes. “Hey, pal, want this coin?”
“Yeah, I’ll take it,” responded the bartender’s customer in a deep female’s voice. The bartender slid the coin over, which the person took.
(fumes more and bongoes XD )
(BONGOS)
Sage walked up to the counter for a drink. They sat down waiting for the bartender to get done with their conversation, all while making obscure faces and sounds.
The bartender turned to the bard. “Hey there. What’ll you have?”
"Some whiskey would be great!" Sage responded with a bright beam.
“Right right. Four ewillings.” They stuck their hand out for the four shiny coins.
Sage gave him the four coins. They had plenty of money to spare, at least they assumed so.
(Do our characters know each other, or do they meet here)
(They meet here.)
(Cool)
The bartender scooped it away and replaced it with a glass of whiskey. “There you go.”
"Thank ya!" Sage grabbed the glass and took a long drink.
The woman at the counter tapped the wood.
“What? Another… Willing to pay?”
She jerked her head.
“Alright…” He scooped another glass to her.
Vena nervously entered the tavern. The loudness, and fullness of it making her slightly uneasy. There where far to many people here she might anger.
Not quite watching where she was going, Erusa accidentally bumped into Vena.
Another bout of laughter from the crowd. The golden eyed male laughs along with them, continuing his tale. He was excitedly referring to the time he had to fight against a warring tribe, and how they were notoriously evil but good won at the end of the day.
Sage finished her drink and walked over to the man telling the tale. She didn't know him, but provided music for his story anyway. It just made everything more exciting.
The female twitched within her hood, glaring over at the rambuncous crowd.
“Annoying, huh?” The bartender asked with a grin.
The male looks at her and winks, before continuing his story. "So there I was, starving and weak. I had nothing but my katana and a small bowl of herbs. I didn't know what to do. My men were dying, I was bleeding, what was I going to do?" He chuckles, pausing for effect.
"Excuse me," Erusa muttered, attempting to walk around Vena, but was shoved back by a staggering drunkard.
Sage grinned back a slight blush on her face. Probably from the whiskey, she had started a slow crescendo to build up the next sentence.
