"Well, there isn't much to do. there are a lot of bars but I'm under 21 and never got around to getting a fake ID. So I can't really tell you how good they are. but this is a college town so there are a lot of parties," she said smiling over at him. "what about you though? I mean like do you have a job?"

"Cool! whats his name?" she asked. she was getting nervous but wouldn't let it show on her face. of course her powers knew of her emotions and her hands started to warm up.
"Morte" he said smiling
"Nice," she said before putting down her soda can. she hadn't realized that she left a burn mark in the shape of a hand.
"whoa are you okay?" he said noticing the burn mark
Ava followed his eyes and saw that he was looking at the can. "shit oh um yeah that happens sometimes," she muttered. "anyway do you want to order something for dinner?" she said quickly, trying to change the subjects.
"hmm you have powers?" he asked his face intrested
"no! I have no clue what you are talking about! What I meant is that sometimes the cans look like that. I guess the company is trying a new look. it probably has to do with the new horror movie that's coming out," she said for faking confusion. she couldn't have him find out. the more she spoke the hotter her hands grew hotter. if she continues to be nervous her hand would light on fire.
Jace walked to the door of Ava's place and knocked at it then waited.
ava heard the knock at the door and quickly went to answer it. Good a distraction.
"Hello." he smiled and waved. "I was going to call you and say i was nearby, but i just didn't"
Nyx waved from inside the apartment "hi, im avas new roommate"
"great you can come on in!" Ava said making room for him to enter "Jace, like he already said, that my roommate Nxy and Nyx this is my friend Jace."
"hi Jace" Nyx said, sensing an angelic aura he wrinkeled his nose
