Betty was off like a rocket into Laurabeths room standing by her bed

Laura-Beth was crying as she sat up in her bed.

She pet the girls arm " hey… sweetie" she said

Laura-Beth looked up at her mom and reached her arms towards her, tears still streaming down her face.

She picked her daughter up putting her over her shoulder

Laura-Beth hugged her mom, resting her head on her shoulder.

" it's alright mommies here" she cooed

”Don’t go.” she whimpered.

" I'm right here " she said

She nodded but kept crying.

She gently set Laurabeth down

”No! Don't go.” Laura-Beth held her tighter, refusing to let go.

She sat down so laura-beth was taller than her

Laura-Beth kept her arms around her mom. ”Don’t leave us.” she whined.

" why would you think that?" She asked

”I saw a man take you away.” Laura-Beth said softly.

She pulled her close and kissed her head

Laura-Beth whimpered again.

" I love you Laura Beth" she said

”I love you too, mama.” she answered, still teary-eyed.

She smiled letting go of her

" hey it's okay I'm going to put you back in bed I'm going to go make you some hot cocoa then I'll be back okay"she said

”Ok.” Laura-Beth said softly.

She put laurabeth back in the bed and left the room closing the door behind her and went downstairs
