Lysander made soft soothing sounds and gently held her.

She gripped onto his shirt

He rubbed his hands against her back.

She took a deep breath

“It’s alright. You’re safe now.” he promised her softly, lightly kissing her forehead.

The day passed and it was night and Betty gently laid Laurabeth in her crib

”Is the bad man really gone?” Laura-Beth asked. Even though she hadn't seen anything, she had been pretty shaken but Alec showing up.

She nodded " it's alright" she said

”Ok.” Laura-Beth yawned, letting her eyes close.

She left the room closing the door and headed for the stairs

Lysander was in the bathroom washing his mouth out. He didn't regret what he did but he hated how doing that made him feel.

Betty slipped into the bathroom really fast to grab her hair brush

Lysander raised a brow at her speedy departure but didn’t say anything. Henry had told him that Betty had seen what he did.

She was still in the bathroom as she ran water on her hands slipping the ring off throwing it in the trash

He couldn't help but smile a little as he saw the action out the corner of his eye. He could tell it wasn't one he gave her.

She turned the water off and flinged her hands dry. She smiled politely at lysander and started to leave the room

He smiled back at her and finished cleaning up before walking into the bedroom.

Betty.was at the bedroom window looking out it

He smiled softly as he remembered how much he had missed her being near him.

She looked at the night sky

”How are you?” he asked gently, walking up behind her but not touching her yet.

" I'm alright" she said

”Good.” he nodded a little. ”I’m sorry for what you saw earlier.” he apologized, looking down ashamed of his actions.

" lysander I can never thank you enough for the things you've done you've saved me in more ways humanly possible" she said
