Conner threw his hands in the air. "I found a book and drew a symbol on the ground." This was starting to frustrate him. "And now I'm here. So, can you please just tell me how to get home!" It was a horrible idea to yell at the King of hell. But, Conner was uncomfortable being in a place where he could be eaten.
"If you wish to leave then you must play my game" Satan gave him a evil look. "A game in which you may very well not win. And if you fail I wish you a happy after life in the fire depths of hell."
"What would this game be?" He looked Satan dead in the eye, standing tall. He wasn't going to show any fear, even if he felt like passing out. please don't be to hard.
"This challenge I give to you is to get my youngest, Eve, to fall in love with you, a human." He smirked. A challenge he'd given before. Never had one succeeded. "Its next to impossible, but if you except. You have exactly one year to complete it."
"Y-you're kidding, right?" His eyes moved over to Eve. Falling in love, making her fall in love would be just impossible and in a year? What were his parents going to think? Since he is going to be gone for a whole year. "How many people have tried this?"
"To many to even bother counting" his smug grin beamed evil. "And don't worry thinking about time. It moves much faster here. A day on earth is a year here."
"D-did you just.." He narrowed his eyes. "Did you read my mind?" Can he do that? Are his thoughts not even safe here? It felt wrong all of this did. *It's okay Conner, you don't have to fall in love, it's just her that does. "Alright, I'll do it. Where am I staying?"
"Where you stay is your problem. But i do wish you good luck" Satan made a shoo motion with his hands to get rid of the human.
Two guards took Conner by the arm and led him out of the room. "Hey, I can walk on my own." He removed their hands from him. "Thank you very much." If he could stay anywhere, he was going to find a nice room in this place. Conner wandered the halls looking in every room for a place to stay. As he was searching, Conner stumbled upon a library. It was the biggest library he has ever seen. "I wonder what kind of books a demon would have?"
Eves older sister Anne sat in the library reading on of her favorite books. Of course since this was hell the books weren't very good. And they all ended on cliff hangers.
"This one looks cool." Honestly he couldn't understand it, but it still looked cool. It was a dark leather with gold on it. When he took it off the shelf, he fell to the ground. "This book is something else." Using all his strength he picked it up and sat at a table, not nothing the person across from him.
Eve walked in a looked from Anne to Connor, "you know all the books here suck right?" She stated a bit annoyed. She hated be the challenge. But one thing was sure it was fun watching them fail.
"Is that so.." He raised an eyebrow not looking up. He honestly didn't want to be near anyone right now, so why did she follow him? She hated him as he hated her. "I can't read it of course, but the pictures are interesting." That sounded like something a child would say and he didn't like it.
"You're such a child" eve looked to her sister, "dad said moms here to pick you up," Eve hated her sister for taking after their mom more. They both had the same red hair but Anne didn't have red or black eyes. She didn't have horns. She was a spitting image of an angel. "And by the way, that book you're reading is about tortcher" Eves eyes shifted back to Connor.
Conner pushed the book way as soon as she said that, his eyes following the book till it hit someone in front of him. "I'm so, sorry." She's really pretty. No, Conner shes still a demon. Pushing the thought away he quickly put the book back. "I didn't realize someone else was here. Sorry again."
"Oh its alright" Anne smiled at him. "I'm guessing my father gave you challenge for you to leave this place?" Anne asked.
"Anne! Didn't you here me? Moms here. I'd go before I take your spot if I where you" Eve glared at her sister.
"Yeah he did." Conner narrowed his eyes at Eve. "Well I should go." He started walking to the door, but stopped before exiting the room. "My name is Conner, it's nice to meet you, Anne." Walking by Eve he whispered in her ear. "You need to learn to not be so uptight." He smiled. Before walking down the hall. He needed to find a room, and he probably won't be going in there again if the books are about torture.
Uptight!? I am not uptight! She almost shouted out loud. Eve glared after him. Anne gave Eve the 'why are you so angry?' Look. Before she slipped out of the room to leave.
Finally after searching for who knows how long, he found a room. A little too medieval and dark for him, but all he'll be doing is sleeping in here. "What do you even do for fun around here?" He knew no one was going to answer because he was alone in this room. Or at least he thinks he is. "How am I supposed to make someone like that fall for me?" Conner's never had a girlfriend or fallen in love, so he knows nothing about this.
A bell rang out threw the castle indicating diner. Eve made her way down stairs and into the dinning room. Connor, by human means looked nice. At least that's what Eve thought. Her father on the other hand didn't think as so much as to why humans liked each other for looks. To him it was a mistary.
Conner covered his ears has the bell went off. "Sir, dinner is ready." A voice came from the other side of the door. There's no way I can go down looking like this. Satan had to have some kind of dress code right? Looking around in the closet he found a few nice suits and hoped Mr. Satan wouldn't mind. Something clicked in Conner's mind. What if these were the past people's clothes? He thought. Something about that though made him cringe, but he changed anyway. The dark blue suit fit him nice, and he brushed his hair back with his fingers. This was going to be the best he could get for now. As he opened the door, the person that called him earlier was there and walked him to the dinning room. "Sorry, I'm late." He straightened his jacket before sitting down.
Eve looked up at Connor annoyed by his lateness. "Someone decided to wear a dead mans suit I see" the man who owned that suit originally wasn't really dead. It was impossible to die here. And least just say if you did you wouldn't stay dead for long. After all it was eternal suffering.
(Sorry nootbook is gliching for me rn and not saying when I have texts)
(Yeah it's the same for me.)
"Well, if hes not here might as well." He stood over to the chair next to Eve. "Plus, I can't look like I did earlier to a dinner with Satan himself." Conner was starting to get use to things a bit more and relax. Freaking out wasn't going to help, and he didn't want to hide his real personality. No one wants to fall in love with a fake person. Even if Eve was a demon, she was still a girl and deserved the best. Weird, I never thought that I would think something like that. "So, what is for dinner."
