Phoebe grinned sheepishly. "Aw. Thanks. Did you find your way to the classes that neither of us were in alright?"
Phoebe grinned sheepishly. "Aw. Thanks. Did you find your way to the classes that neither of us were in alright?"
Elide nodded, “Yup. I did. I mean I got lost once but found my way eventually. This school is huge!”
Phoebe laughed. "Yeah, it is. I'll see if I can print you a map tonight."
“Nah, It’s fine. I’ll find my way around in no time, but thanks.” Elide laughed a little with her.
Phoebe grinned sheepishly. They rounded a corner, the warm sun beating down on their backs. “Are you doing anything tonight?”
Elide shook her head, “No. I’m by myself tonight… again.” She said the last part quieter then the rest.
Phoebe glanced over, eyes filling with sympathy. "I- I'm sorry. Do you– I could ask my mom if you could spend the night, if you want?"
“Oh, you don’t have to do that, Phoebe. I’m used to it so it’s nothing new.” Slide said quickly, giving the girl a small smile.
This only furthered Phoebe’s sympathy, but she nodded, smiling warmly. “What’s your last name?”
“Richards, why?” Elide asked, looking up at her with a slightly confused look.
“My mom is a stickler about keeping people’s first and last names in my contacts, in case of.. I don’t know, some emergency.” Phoebe shrugged.
“Oh, That makes sense,” Elide said, nodding, “My… parents just don’t care.”
Phoebe paused, unsure how to reply. “My dad doesn’t really care about that sort of thing… other things he’s very.. stereotypically Christian about.”
“Yeah, mine literally know most people in my phone from back home so they don’t find it that big of a deal,” Elide sighed and shook her head a little, “Anyway, it doesn’t matter, really.”
Phoebe bumped her shoulder against the other girl’s lightly as they walked. “Are you keeping in touch with your English friends?”
Elide nodded, “Yeah. But because of the time differences it’s been hard to talk unless I’m awake late.”
“Aw, that sucks.” Phoebe led Elide across the street. “If you’re going to stay up late, do it on the weekend. Sleep deprivation makes the school day absolute hell.”
Elide chuckled, “That’s true, yeah. I’ve only been here a few days anyway.”
(Skip or stay? I’m sorta brain dead and I’m running out of conversation sorry)
(Um… maybe Elide does decide to stay over at Phoebe’s?)
(Sure! Unfortunately, it’s almost midnight here and I have a test tomorrow, so I gtg, sorry)
(All g, hope you do well on your test! Seeya soon)
(Thanks, ttyl)
(Sorry Sorry)
Phoebe rummaged around in her bag for her keys, unlocking the door with a little difficulty. “I’m home!”, she called, silence greeting her.
(All g)
“No one home then?” Elide said from the doorstep.
