Damien's frowned deepened a little but it dropped eventually, "Oh. I see. We'll talk about it later, Elide."
Elide nodded and released a breath, "Okay."
Damien gave her a small smile before leaving the room.
As soon as Damien left, Phoebe’s shoulders relaxed significantly. “Hey,” she murmured, turning to Elide. “That wasn’t so bad. You okay??”
Elide nodded, "Yeah, I'm fine. What about you guys?"
Phoebe pressed a kiss to her temple. "I'm fine." She glanced at Jane, who replied the same.
Elide released a breath before smiling slightly up at Phoebe, "Damien took that better then I thought…"
Phoebe kissed her lightly. "Yeah, I'm glad. Good for you, that was.. brave, to say the least."
Elide flushed a little, "Yeah…" She sighed, "I'm just dreading what Damien is going to say later on about the whole situation with school."
Phoebe hugged her tightly. "What would he say? About Matt? He'd probably just try to get him in trouble."
"Probably," Elide hugged her back, "He'll still be mad at me for lying though."
"Don't worry, I'm sure it'll go fine," Jane spoke up, and Phoebe nodded in agreement. "On a related topic, does he still want us here?"
Elide shrugged, "Who knows. He hasn't told you to leave so I'm sure you guys can stay if you want."
"As long as it won't upset him…" Suddenly, a thought struck her. "Wait– what if he asks for our parents' numbers and calls them?"
"I-I doubt it," Elide ran a hand through her hair, "He probably thinks you came from school…"
"Yeah, but we're skipping. So he'll want to tell our parents where we are, right?" Phoebe bit her lip.
Elise shrugged, “Who knows. If he asks I’ll make up a lie or something.”
Jane frowned slightly. "We don't want you getting into even more trouble on our behalf, Elide." Phoebe nodded in agreement. "We can do the lying, if you want."
Elide shook her head a little, “No, no it’s fine. Don’t worry about me.”
"Too late," they both said at the same time, then smiled a little. "Sorry," Phoebe apologized, "It's something we say to Josh a lot." Both smiles faltered.
“Oh,” Elide looked down, “Well uh… I’ll be alright.”
"We'll see what it comes down to…" Phoebe sighed. "What do you want to do?"
Elide shrugged, “I don’t know. What to go for a walk?”
"Yeah, sure," Phoebe replied, shrugging.
(do you want to skip to later that night?)
(Sure, how late?)
(around 11?)
