Elide shook her head a little, "No, but I definitely prefer them…"
Phoebe's one hand curled around Elide's waist. "Am I counted there?" She honestly had no idea why she wasn't a blubbering, blushing mess yet, but something about Elide had revealed a different side of her.
Elide nodded, "Of course you are…" She lifted her head slightly so she could press a kiss to Phoebe's cheek before it went back to her neck.
Phoebe's fingers began toying with Elaine's hair, brushing the nape of her neck lightly. "There are probably people who need to use the washroom.. I want to stay here longer, but…"
Elide whined again but lowered herself from herself and pulled back a little, "Guess you're right…"
Phoebe laughed quietly. "Let's grab a bite to eat, come on." They slipped back through the living room to the back, where there were two tables set up, each piled with food.
Elide took in all the food and became slightly overwhelmed, "I uh… don't really want anything…"
“You’re not going to eat at all?” Phoebe loaded her plate with samosas, glancing bashfully at Elide. Her lips still tingled from the kiss they’d shared.
Elide shrugged and wrapped her arms around herself, "Yeah… I'm not hungry." She gave Phoebe a small smile.
“If you’re sure..” Phoebe didn’t want to press, she knew Elide could still be shaky from the anxiety attack. Taking hold of her slim wrist, she tugged the other girl into the kitchen, where she sat down at the table. “Feeling better?”
Elide shrugged again and sat down next to Phoebe, "A little. Now I'm just tried… thanks again for the help." The anxiety attack had taken a lot of her energy, so had dancing.
“Anytime.” Seeing as nobody was around, Phoebe took Elide’s hand gently in hers. “If you’re tired, I can take you home.”
Elide bit her lip and shook her head a little, "No. I-I don't want to drag you away when there's really nothing wrong…"
“It’s not a problem,” Phoebe told her softly. “There isn’t anyone else at this party who I know anyways, and I don’t want you to be tired.”
Elide frowned down at herself, "But I… I don't want to be a problem…"
Phoebe squeezed her hand. “You’re not being a problem,” she insisted. “I’m getting tired as well anyways, if you want to go just say so.”
"Well… I mean…" Elide let a small sigh escape, "Y-Yeah… I wanna go home."
Phoebe rose immediately. “Then let’s go.” She carefully pulled Elide up, wrapping her up in a quick side-hug before leading the way towards the door.
Elide had to resist the urge to grab Phoebe's hand while they were still in the house but as soon as the door was shut and they were walking down the street, she took it. She leaned into her and released a breath.
Phoebe let go of Elide’s hand, but only to slip her arm around her friend and tug her close to her side. “Promise me that you’ll text or call if you ever feel— if you’re ever about to have a panic attack?”
Elide nodded, "I promise. Same goes back to you…" She muttered.
Phoebe nodded as well. “We don’t have school tomorrow, so you can sleep in. Just take it easy all day, ‘kay?”
"I will." Elide sighed and they walked in silence for a while. When she had had enough of that, she began humming Catastrophize by Noah Kahan to get rid of it.
“What’s that song you’re humming? I’ve never heard it before.” Phoebe asked, curiousity peaked.
"Hm? Oh, it's Catastrophize by Noah Kahan," Elide said, rubbing at her arm.
