Kaliyah nodded and went outside. She quickly went and grabbed her rations pack from Abel, her horse, and took out the meat and other cooking necessities. She quickly lit a fire in the stove and started cooking. Soon after, delicious smell started coming from the bottoms floor.
Phoenix glanced around looking for something she could use as crutches. She took a deep breath, stood up, and leaned against the wall. Her legs were trembling against her will.
Kaliyah realizing she forgot Phoenix’s situation called “there’s a medical kit in each room, and many, many walking sticks because of how many old rangers there are.”
Phoenix yelled down as she slowly made her way to the walking sticks were, "Thank you!" She grabbed two walking sticks and regained a good portion of her balance to make her way to the stairs. Her mortal enemy.
Kaliyah started to put the meal into bowls. She took some rice, a delicacy in these times, and added a little to each portion. “Come and get food!” She yelled
Phoenix was struggling down the stairs, but she was making some progress. She reached the bottom and let out a soft cheer before moving to the kitchen, "I live!"
Kaliyah laughed and lifted a plate “wanna eat on the floor?” She asked
“I would prefer chairs as they are easier to get up from, but yes. The floor will do,” Phoenix laughed.
Kaliyah brought two dishes and sat in the floor with Phoenix She passed one plate to her “here, dig in.”
Phoenix gave her a grateful smile as she took the bowl, “Thank you.”
Jacob walked into the blacksmith's shop. His hatchet needed to be sharpened pretty bad, he hadn't gotten it done in a while and had just spent about a week in the woods, so the hatchet certainly needed to hit the sharpening stone. But Jacob didn't have a whole lot of money. Hopefully, he'd be able to get it done. If he couldn't afford it…well, he'd need to get a job, then. Jacob looked at another customer and offered a friendly wave, then went up to the counter. "Hello?" he called to make the blacksmiths aware of his presence.
Rey looked up from his counting and smiled. “Hey there. How may I help you?”
Will looked around the place then went to find an empty room. he found one easily and dropped his sword inside it and put down the cape he had been using. then walked out of it to see what the others were doing.
Jason pulled out his dulled hatchet and set it on the counter. "How much would it cost to get this sharpened?" he asked.
Rey set down the arrowheads and lifted up the hachet with a grunt. “Mm…” He looked at it up and down, identifying the slightly loose hilt and the obvious dullness.
“I can tighten up the hilt and sharpen it for free.”
Jacob was pretty surprised, actually. "Are you sure? I don't have a whole lot, but I should at least pay you something," he said.
Rey nodded. “I’m positive. Just come back in a bit and I’ll have it for ya.”
Jacob sighed. "Okay, thank you," he said. He didn't feel comfortable at all with just leaving and not paying. Making a mental note to leave a "tip" for the blacksmiths when he returned for his hatchet, Jacob made his way out of the shop. Once he got outside, he was greeted by Nat rubbing up against his boot. He laughed. "Hey, bud," he said, bending over to scratch the cat behind his ear. His other pet, Pebble, flitted past his head and chirped a couple of times before landing on Jacob's shoulder.
Kaliyah looked up as will entered "Hey, will! Grab a dish of food and join us" she said
Will nods and grabs some food then goes to sit down with them on the floor.
"Did you have a successful trip?" Phoenix asked Will.
"yeah they had to fix my sword a bit also." Will replied.
"YOu went to the Blacksmiths?" she asked surprised
"Yeah," Phoenix responded for Will, "He went before you had gone. Surprised you didn't see him."
"um yeah. Is something wrong with that?" He asked.
