Phoenix fought in her mind before asking, "Which one?"
Phoenix fought in her mind before asking, "Which one?"
"I could help speak for the storm kingdom since we haven't chosen yet."
(Cloud kingdom?)
“How about the sun kingdoms plan?”
"I asked you which plan? I've got like 20 depending on the amount of soldiers we can muster, who are allies are, and how large the moon kingdom's forces are," Phoenix stated again.
“Whatever can help us make a plan of our own.” Kaliyah said, sitting down against Shard
"Well in that case no matter what happens we're relying on brute strength. So a decrease in our numbers would be a major blow. Otherwise nothing else has been finalized."
“So the best thing to do would be to split the group in half to reduce the chance of either side winning.” Kaliyah thought aloud
"I mean that could definitely work," Phoenix thought for a moment. She grabbed a stick near her and began to draw a strategic map in the dirt.
Kaliyah looked over and watched as she drew
Phoenix stopped for a moment she looked to the others, “This is what the battlegrounds are supposed to look like tomorrow.”
Vespera sighed. "So it has turned into full-on war. Who even… who wants this? Isn't it just bad for everyone involved? And while I commend you all for wanting to deescalate things, this is at the bare minimum borderline treasonous, so I'd be careful."
“You don’t think we don’t know that?” Phoenix looked at the girl, “I’m currently the only other member of the Sun royal family alive. My parents started this, and I am going to finish it. I can see the slight benefits and reasons, but I find all of them idiotic.”
"Hm, well, okay. As long as you seem well-aware of the risks," Vespera said, "But you're right to do your best to end it. It takes quite some courage, and I respect you for that. Well, do you have a plan to end it at all? It sounds like there's still a battle tomorrow."
“I’m… Working on it. I only have half of the plans anyways, Sun’s half. A battle isn’t between one kingdom,” Phoenix replied looking to Will. He had the other half.
"Right," Vespera agreed, "But if you're the last Royal from Sun, couldn't you just… I don't know… tell them to not fight? Send a messenger to Moon and just say that you're not here to continue this war?"
“I didn’t say I was the last, I said I’m the only other. My sister sits on the throne and holds all the power. I can influence her some, but not enough to stop this. The idea of revenge settled into her kind heart,” Phoenix said with a sigh.
“Ah, well that’s unfortunate,” Vespera replied, “I guess that was just wishful thinking on my part. If only it really was that simple.”
“If only,” Phoenix nodded her eyes shut.
Kaliyah nodded. Her eyes widened in realization that she hadn’t told Arrow where she was going. She quickly wrote a note and gave it to Shard. He whined. “Go give this to Arrow.” She said. Shard whined again but ran off.
Back at the cabin, arrow was getting restless. Kaliyah was supposed to be back but hadn’t arrived yet. He heard scratching at the door and grabbed his dagger. He heard two barks then sighed and opened the door. Shard whined and gave the note to him. Arrow read it then nodded. He wrote a reply and gave it to shard. “Give this to her. Goodnight.” He told the wolf then closed the door and went to bed.
Phoenix looked to Kaliyah. She seemed a little anxious and had told her wolf to run and deliver something. She shrugged it off as she looked back at the map. Phoenix looked over to Will, "Have anything to add Moonie?"
"not really. All I know is that the moon kingdom prepares only a defensive attck." Will responded. A little after his response Forest walked up behind him.
Kaliyah sighed as Shard came back with a note. She read it then threw it in the fire. “Well we know the Moons focus on stealth so it seems obvious that they’ll attack at night. However since everyone knows that they’re good at stealth, they might not attack at night.” She said
"And both of you are completely useless," Phoenix thread her hands through her hair, "We have a kingdom that has a defensive attack and 'might' attack at night. Though since Sun is the aggressors the chance of Moon making the first move is lower. That and their fighting force is about half to a third of Sun's alone. They need allies, and since no kingdom has yet to swear allegiance they have none. So them attacking first, even with the element of surprise is doubtful."
“I’m not saying they’re attacking first, I’m saying that they might be splitting up. When the Suns go to attack the Moons, half the Moon army will probably attack the kingdom while they are away.” She said
Will looked towards the sky. "What time do you suppose it is currently?"
