Phoenix shook her head with a laugh, "I'm always in my head, ignored, or half asleep. So sorry."
“But you must have heard of Ranger Arrow?” She said. The Rangers were known as either Flames or Lights. They were the ‘peacekeepers’ of the land and each kingdom had its own Ranger group. There were usually at least 6-7 groups in each kingdom but Ranger arrow was known in each kingdom as the kings warrior. Coming to the aid of whichever king that needed him. At the moment he was in war council with all the kingdoms, unable to take a side. He was most famous for his help but was extremely modest about it and never liked talking about his achievements.
Vespera felt a smile form on her face. "Well, if nothing else, this is the most excitement I've had in a good while."
She heard a few loud growls and whinnying back towards the portion of the road they had run away from, and her expression turned somber.
"They got her," she said, casting a slight glance over her shoulder.
Shane's face fell at Vespera's words. "Let…let's just be glad that wasn't us." Her voice stuck to her throat like peanut butter as they rode.
"Of course I have!" Phoenix seemed insulted that she wouldn't know that much. She had seen him many a time in the Sun palace, of course had he seen her? She wasn't sure.
"Yeah…" Vespera whispered, "Let's keep up the pace. I think that puts some distance between us and the… were they wolves? I didn't get a good look."
"Probably wolves." Shane kept her gaze forward. "I don't think we'd be able to turn back now anyway, considering these two just… heard that."
Cassidy sat for a few minutes before curiosity got the best of her and she got up and looked around some more.
There were only two rooms and a bathroom. It was very unclear where Rey used the restroom. We don't think about that any more.
"I guess I'll get back home eventually," Vespera said, trying to reassure herself. She looked over to her right arm, which was scraped and bleeding a little bit. She huffed and put her eyes back on the path ahead.
(I'm headed to bed. Feel free to drag my character places if you need to.)
"Of course I have!" Phoenix seemed insulted that she wouldn't know that much. She had seen him many a time in the Sun palace, of course had he seen her? She wasn't sure.
“That’s good. I only know you because I’m his apprentice.” She said finally revealing the bronze lightning bolt emblem, which showed that she was in-training, part of the Storm Rangers, and that she was in the top group. “He hasn’t taken an apprentice since he started in the rangers so I don’t know what he saw in me that made him pick me.” She said
Phoenix looked at her impressed, "Very nice. So you go into all the war meetings with him? That makes sense."
“I’ve almost completed my training so soon, I’ll be at one meeting while he is at another.” She stated proudly
"Oh wonderful. The apprentice can handle herself in a war meeting," Phoenix rolled her eyes.
Cassidy continued looking about the main room, curiously looking at everything careful not to knock anything over this time
Rey collected a few potatoes from his garden and walked back into the cabin. "Doing alright?"
Cassidy spun around "Oh! Yes sorry" She answered going and sitting back down
Rey smiled. "You can walk around. I won't force you to sit."
"Thanks, I was just curious" She explained staying seated
"Oh wonderful. The apprentice can handle herself in a war meeting," Phoenix rolled her eyes.
“I can do more than that! Speaking of which, are you hungry or cold?” She asked
"How long have you been head blacksmith?" Cassidy asked trying to make conversation
"Never really get cold, and I'm not hungry at the moment," Phoenix responded. She figured Kaliyah was just trying to impress her, or sway her in some way. People always were.
