After picking up the food, Alton began the drive home. Why do you do this? He asked himself. He knew the answer. People go through tough times - they can't always fare on their own. I help them. Sometimes, the answer disgusted him, and sometimes, he praised himself for it.
It wasn't only trustworthiness she saw in him, there was something soft and loving about him, a willingness to help. It was all in his eyes. Red stood and moved to the other side of the room to find the window where the sky seemed to be falling slowly into a colored darkness.
Alton pulled into the driveway, shutting off the car and walking into the house, dumping the food onto the coffee table. "Red?" He called.
Red jumped to her name being called headed toward it. "Oh, hey." She walked up to him with a small smile.
"Hey." He smiled. "Food's here." He began unwrapping his.
"Oh thanks." She walked over and picked up her food, opening it as her stomach silenced itself, ready to have something in it.
"It was no trouble." Alton replied.
She nodded, beginning to eat her food. (Sorry it's short)
(tis okie)
Alton quickly finished his meal, looking outside. "It's late."
She finished hers as he said so. "Yeah. I think I'll head to bed." To be honest, she probably wasn't going to fall asleep.
“Alright. I’ll see you in the morning.” Alton threw away his trash and retreated to his own room.
"Okay." Red walked back to the guest room, closing the door behind her. (Sorry I'm at a party right now so I'm going to be short and on and off)
"Alright!" she hummed, walking up to the counter
(sorry sorry i was asleep and didn't see it)
Moira follows her to the counter. "I'll have a banana bread and a small coffee"
(is ok)
"Same here" she replied, smiling at the barista

So a couple minutes later, the Barista called their names and Moira went up to get it. "MMMmmmmm I love bananas"

Alton lay back on his bed. She seems…different. Different than the other girls I’ve housed.
Red layed down, putting in some earbuds hoping she could sleep. She couldn't. Her stomach felt like in was tumbling with anxiety, but she wasn't sure why. She switched positions several times before getting up. Stars should help, right? That was her go to. Being able to see the stars instead of beneath a suffocating roof. She quitely made her way out to what she assumed was the backyard, and she was right. She plopped down into the grass, leaning back onto her hands and staring up at the stars.
Alton heard a slight rustling but didn’t get up, assuming it was Red moving around.
Red closed her eyes, taking in what she could. There was a distant roar of cars on the paved road, which she wished would go away. Whispers were heard everywhere, sent from the leaves on the trees, sometimes the grass whipping around. She opened her eyes amd layed back to take in the full effect of the sky.
Alton fell gently to sleep.
(Skip)
(Sure)
Red awoke to the morning sun splashing itself onto her face. She was right: the stars do help. For a moment, she just layed there remembering the day before. The grass cold on her skin, the wind still blowing it around. Stars had turned to sunrise silence to the gentle song of birds and morning whispers. Red decided to stay for a minute longer, the feeling of nature begging her to stay.
Alton woke, tossing the covers off and dressing and combing his hair quickly. Was Red still outside?
That minute turned into two. Then three. Then four. Until it came to know, minutes later she was still lying in the grass and breathing.
Shaking his hair out of his face, Alton opened the back door. “Red?” He called nervously.
The call of her name brought her back to the average human perception of time instead of her own. She stood up, brushing herself off quickly. "Hi."
"Are you cold or anything? You were out there all night…" Alton asks, concerned.
