He chuckled a little as he walked over and hugged her from behind. "You know, now that I've had you in my arms, I don't like how cold it is without you." He buried his face in her hair, taking in how wonderful she smelled. Why do girls' hair always smell so good? (That's actually a direct quote from my guy friend XD)
She giggled. “Then keep holding me,” she replied.
Sorry for the short reply//
(No worries!)
He did exactly as she said. "Okay." He closed his eyes and just held her there. It could have lasted forever and he would've been fine with it.
She smiled and put her hands on his, loving the feeling. She just stood there for a moment, which in her opinion was way too short.
"How did the jerk get the goody two shoes?" This moment, however beautiful, was practically impossible. He hadn't even thought it would ever happen, and yet, there they were, staring alone in her kitchen. "I mean, it's like defying gravity."
“Maybe because he’s not really a jerk,” she said with a smile. “Besides, this is practically a cliche.” She giggled. “Like, you’re Danny Zuko and I’m Sandy!” She paused for a moment before singing quietly. “Met a guy, cute as can be~”
He laughed and sung the counterpart only a line before without thinking. "I met a girl, crazy for me~" If he had, he would have thought about it, maybe covered the fact that he knew exactly who and what she was talking about. And singing for that matter. Yet, he didn't
She giggled, charmed. Her stomach growled. “So let’s eat then?” She suggested.
He released her from his embrace, though he didn't want to. "Yeah." He could already feel her warmth missing in his arms.
She cut up the pizza and took a slice for herself, leaning against the counter as she ate it. She figured she’d eat another slice or two. She couldn’t help looking at Zavian, and she hoped that she wasn’t staring, but at this point, did it really matter? She felt light and happy and the only thing she really wanted was to be back in his embrace.
He took a slice and leaned up against the counter across from her, taking the first bite. At first, he just looked at his slice, but glanced up to her to find her staring. A smile crept across his face. He finished chewing keeping the eye contact. "Hi."
She blushed, glancing away for a moment before looking back at him. “Hi,” she repeated. She smiled at him before taking another’s bite.
He smiled back at her, almost a smirk. "Gosh, you're adorable." He took another bite and laughed a little.
She blushed again, looking at the ground for a moment shyly. “No one’s ever said that to me before,” she said quietly, smiling. She looked back up at him, finishing off her pizza slice.
"Well I'm glad to be the first." He looked to her as she did to him, finishing his own slice. He walked up to her, took her hand, and spun her around until she was in his arms. "I don't see why anyone hasn't though."
She giggled, leaning into his embrace. “You’re so sweet,” she replied with a smile. “I don’t know how I got so lucky.”
"Sweet?" He laughed a little. Sarcasm filled his voice. "Right, I'm totally not the person who practically created every work of trouble in our school. Definitely sooooooo lucky."
Fern frowned before turning around and kissing him to shut him up. She pulled away for a moment. “Don’t even start,” she said. “If you keep saying stupid things like that then I’m going have to get you to stop. I know you’re not really like that.” She smiled. “You are sweet and kind and wonderful, and I won’t believe otherwise.”
"Whatever your say, Ms.Feisty." He still felt like a jerk with everything he'd done, but he pushed today away and kissed her again.
She kissed him back before pulling away to laugh. “Don’t call me that!”
He laughed. "Why not?" Her laugh is adorable.
“It’s…annoying,” she said, trying to come with an excuse before laughing again. She totally just didn’t know why she didn’t like it. Honestly, she didn’t even think it was that bad.
"Whatever you say." He leaned a for a kiss, muttering under his breath. "Ms.Feisty." He kissed her again, thinking she wouldn't notice.
