thanks :)
Sebastian's eyes slid sideways towards the young man who had just sat down in the booth nearest to the bar, where he was sitting. Pulling his eyes back to his drink, he sloshed the liquid around a little, doing his best to ignore all the heads he was turning. He knew he wasn't a pretty sight to see, what with his face full of freckles underlined by dark bruises and smudges of grime, bleeding knuckles, and scarred hands, and this was one of many times he wished that his appearance didn't set him apart. If there was no contrast between him and the rest of the city, no one would care about him.
Finn keeps his eyes down as he walks up to the bar, standing close to Sebastian as he orders a drink, he bites his cheek and just picks something off the menu. He tries not to look at Sebastian too hard, but his injuries worry Finn slightly.
Sebastian’s eyes flickered sideways again, his whole body stiffening as the stranger came close. He raised his glass to his chapped lips, taking a sip and training his eyes on the bar top in front of him. He’ll leave soon… relax, it’s not like he’s gping to try and make conversation.
(moooooood)
Jane finished the last line of her song, letting the notes hang in the smoky air. She stepped down from the stage and made her way to a little table, where her cigarette was still burning. She tossed and fluffed at her hair while taking a long drag from her cigarette. She sat on a stool next to the table and looked around the room, watching the commotion.
(Lmao yeah, big mood)
Finn looks down at his drink and sips it slowly, glancing up at Sebastian, before he can stop himself he lets out a, “I’d hate to see the other guy” he says jokingly, referring to his injuries
Sebastian swore under his breath, forcing a smile onto his face and glancing up at the stranger. "Believe me, the other guy got off much better than I did," he told him, faking a convincing chuckle. "It hurts to breathe."
He nods and then averts his eyes, “ouch…doesn’t sound pleasant” he knew the other person was uncomfortable with his talking to him but he couldn’t help it, it’s rude to ignore people, and being rude did not come easily to him.
Sebastian paused, sensing that the other guy was slightly awkward. After a beat, he cleared his throat. “I’m Sebastian.”
Finn smiles, a perfectly white toothed, Hollywood smile, “Finn, Finn Vera. Pleasure to aquire your acquaintance” he sticks out his hand and then quickly sets it down on the counter, inwardly getting onto himself about being too proper
Sebastian’s eyes flicked down to the hand, which had thankfully been withdrawn. “You too.” He raised his glass to his lips, taking a deep drink. “Do you come here often?”
He shakes his head, “no, not usually. I’ve come here once or twice, but my parents are far from approving of it” he sighs, “what about you?”
He seesawed a hand. “Every now and then. I’m careful, I don’t want to get caught.”
“Ah of course” he says and chugs down his drink, “Getting caught wouldn’t be good for most of us”
Sebastian gave a one-shouldered shrug, focusing his eyes on a spot just to the left of Finn's ear, unable to look him in the eyes for long. "To say the least, yes."
He frowns, “I’m sorry, I’m not the best at carrying conversations, I suppose I’ll leave you be”
Sebastian froze, caught between nodding in relief and slapping himself at his evident rudeness. "no, no– it's fine, I'm just not very.. social. Sorry."
Teddy walked into the building, his clever but energetic eyes sweeping the room. What a nice place. I wonder where I can get some vodka…
“I cannot place myself in the same boat,” he says, “I was taught to be perfectly social since I was young. It often poses problems such as this one”
"Better to be social, I think.." Sebastian sighed with an ironic smile.
“Ah you’re just saying that” he says with a small laugh and just as small smile, his perfect teeth almost sparkling in the dull light of the bar
Sebastian shook his head with a wry smile. “Believe me, I’m not.”
