(I'm doing that. Also yeah, I think Quincy is there.)
Quincy grinned, "Glad to see you to get along well."
James was still looking around. He spotted what he thought to be the elder house, and decided to head there. Maybe he could ask them.
(Is Quincy talking to Robin?)
(Both Robin and Valkyrie.)
(Aye, that's all I needed to know)
Robin looked at Quincy "why yes. She has a good heart from.what I can tell."
Quincy nodded even thought she wasn't quite sure if that was completely true, "She does."
"Well I must be off. Time goes by quick these days and I need to get better supplies if I want to survive this winter." She smiled and pet Isolde's head
"Uh, thank you." Mara took the keys and held them tightly in her hands. "I'm ready to see my house." Mara got on Riven and waited for Aurelius to show her the way.
Valkyrie looked down and laughed a little. "I don't know about a good heart. I sure do try. I at least have a decent head on my shoulders, though. Good luck with your work, Robin."
Aurelius gave a halfhearted smile, thanked the elders, and got on Nox, before leading the way out. Septima stopped them before they were able to leave.
"Everything go alright?" she asked.
Aurelius nodded, "Yeah, it's all good."
She nodded firmly, a small smile spreading over her face. "Good to hear."
Mara exited the building and it felt natural to be on a dragon, and now she wanted to know what he could do. "Sorry for being so mean to you." Rubbing his neck she looked to Aurelius and smiled. "Lead the way."
Robin sighed and decided to go visit the apothecary to see if anything useful could be bought or sold.
Aurelius first led her out towards the home she had picked. He had Nox land on the cobblestone street in front of it.
"So here's your house," he said, "You've got a key, yeah?"
Aurelius strode closer to the large doorway, which was easily large enough to fit even a bigger dragon.
"I do. Thank you." Mara jumped off of Riven and unlocked the door to her new home. As soon as the door opened, the smell of dust was overwhelming. Mara would definitely have to do a deep clean. Not being able to hold back her excitement, her body start to jump up and down.
Aurelius' gaze swept up and down over Mara.
"Ever had your own home before?" he asked, "You seem pretty excited over there."
"Ah no, I shared with a room with my sister and our childhood friend" moving on to the kitchen she looked around. "But we lived in a hut with two beds. My sister only stayed some times, it was mostly just me and my friend." Mara had no idea how to cook, but there must be a book on it.
"Well, I'm sure you'll like it here," Aurelius replied, "If you want to change living arrangements later- for example, if you find a friend or romantic partner you want to move in with- all you have to do is let them know."
He took a few strides across the floor and opened the bedroom door.
"Everything is furnished, though of course you're free to decorate and change it however you'd like."
Mara's face heated up and turned slightly red at the mention of a romantic partner. She did think about that once before, but her Hope's were crushed when-. Shaking her head, she tried to get rid of any thoughts about that. "Thank you. You and your village are very kind."
Aurelius laughed. "We try to be. I'm not sure if it's out of the goodness of their hearts, or that they don't like people leaving, as our numbers are so few. But hospitality and kindness are important here nonetheless. There are flaws, of course, but I don't think any society is perfect."
"No society is perfect." Mara chuckled. She would definitely like to see a perfect society though, but she knew that would never happen. "Anyway, do you have any books on cooking? I would like to practice."
"Not personally, no. My mom taught me how to cook, and I never really needed one. But um… I'm sure there's someone who has one around here, or if not, the library should have some you can borrow," Aurelius replied.
"Hm, guess I'll have to look in the library the." Running a finger across the counter, she realized just how dirty it was. "I should clean." Riven had been taking a nap in the living room, since it was warm and big enough for him to fit. "Again, thank you."
Aurelius nodded. "No problem. I can help you tidy up some if you want, or if there are any cleaning supplies you need to borrow, just let me know."
"I wouldn't mind a little help. The more people the faster it will get done." Mara smiled and threw a rag Aurelius's way. The faster this is done the faster she can take a nap. With everything that happened today, Mara was mentally and physically exhausted.
