"Alright. Might I know the name? It'll be respectful no?"
"Alright. Might I know the name? It'll be respectful no?"
"Yeah," Quincy nodded, "It's (Insert name here because I am unsure if Valerie is still a blacksmith.)"
"Ok. Are you an apprentice?" She asked
"No," Quincy sighed, "I just provide the metal for the blacksmith. Like I said when we first met."
"Oh, I see." Robin said, a little embarrassed
"It's fine," Quincy smiled, "I won't tell anyone else."
Robin smiled "so what kind of things to do you make?" She asked
"Well I make a lot of things from a lot of other things," Quincy shrugged, "That's what an alchemist does. Takes one form of matter and makes it into something else. Rocks to gold after all."
"Interesting. Are you the only Alchemist here?" She questioned
"As far as I know yeah," Quincy responded, "Dragon riders are one thing, alchemists are a whole different breed."
Robin laughed.
(This is getting too long)
(Yeah. Wait for others?)
"Yeah," Quincy nodded, "It's (Insert name here because I am unsure if Valerie is still a blacksmith.)"
(She is! She's technically still in training, and specializes in weapons, but for the sake of this, we can use her.)
(Sick!)
"I'm just hoping someone will take a stranger in. You all seem like a extremely cautious people." Entering a building, Mara had to cover her nose. The overwhelming smell of chemicals filled the air. "Is this the place?" From the smell it had to be, but it didn't hurt to ask. Her heart raced with fear, but mostly excitement.
"It'll be fine. I trust you, so, I mean… they ought to at least acknowledge you're probably not a threat."
He stopped in front of the building. "Yeah, this is the shop where they make and dye fabrics, and they can dye hair too. The ladies who work here are really nice."
(Yooo)
Robin looked at the blacksmiths area and sighed, "Hopefully they can help create something similar to what I have envisioned."
Valkyrie was behind one of the counters in the forge. She brought her hammer down over the still-hot blade of a steel sword and carefully started shaping the edge.
(Haha, I actually know next to nothing about smithing, so I'm just going to make stuff up!)
Quincy gave Robin a quick smile before entering the store, "Hey Val. I brought you a present, well two I guess."
Robin walked up to the Smith's and knocked on the pillar. "'Ello friend!" She called
(I had an idea that Cerulean and Armageddon were the ones who came to destroy the village.)
"A present? What do you…?"
Valkyrie briefly paused her work.
"Hey, do you two need something?"
(I thought they were among the group anyway, if I'm being honest.)
"Robin here, she's new, needs something from you," Quincy explained, "I'm just here to drop off the metal your boss ordered."
(Oh, well that works lmao)
"Need an adjustable lead for my dragon." She gestured to Islode who was still wrapped around her neck
"Ah, thanks," Valkyrie said, "I'll be sure to let Marcellus know."
Valkyrie continued to pound at the edges of the blade.
"If you two are bonded, you probably don't need a lead," Valkyrie replied, "I've rarely seen anyone use one around here, if at all. I can probably figure out how to, or ask my boss, or we can look at other equipment you might need."
"A lead or something to help me keep my balance. I do t want to constantly pull her horns when I'm on her back." Robin said rubbing the back of her neck
Quincy nodded and began to lead Jade to the back of the ship where the metal was stored. She dropped it off before heading out back to the town square.
James and River were looking around. He hadn't asked anyone yet about Quincy, simply because he wasn't sure how much she had told them. Neither of them wore their family crest because it felt wrong to. Wear the symbol that represented the murder of thousands of dragons, when both of them rode dragons? That was simply ridiculous.
