"She's right, you know," Pollux said, "This girl you're after… We'll get her later, I'm sure. When it's more opportune to do so."
Aurelius shook his head. "I know, I know… It's such a bad idea… But she betrayed us. She played a hand in ruining lives. She put up a facade, pretended to be our friend, and then turned on us. And she ruined our home… I'm just so angry and sad… I don't know how to express it quite right."
“There could be more to her story,” Quincy decided to point out, “I know she hurt all of us, espicially you, but we should at the least hear her out. Before we inevitably murder her.”
"I have a feeling I know why… Hers is a story of vengeance too," Aurelius said, "But it's not proportional! It was an accident! It was one person she knew!"
“Calm down Aure,” Quincay said lifting her hands, “What do you mean vengeance?”
"For her little brother… So you know how I got banned from doing outside missions? I was trying to save a dragon from some arena games, and things just went badly. The dragon killed some people, one of whom was her brother. I think this could have something to do with that," Aurelius explained quickly, "Or maybe I'm looking into it too much? Maybe she is evil and heartless, but I'm not sure I could believe that. She looked so afraid after she struck me…"
Pollux shrugged. "I think you could be onto something. I didn't know her, so I can't say for sure."
“Yeah,” Quincy nodded, “Anything is probable at this point. So it could be that.”
“It still doesn’t add up… to kill hundreds, maybe thousands of people… over one person you lost,” Aurelius grumbled.
"It doesn't to us, but maybe to her?" Quincy thought about it for a second, "Well if it did that's quite messed up."
“All of us have lost someone though. It’s not like she’s alone and had no one to turn to.”
Aurelius was becoming more restless.
"I know," Quincy sighed, "But she made her choice and we made ours. Now we both have to deal with the consequences."
"Someone has to die, and it's not going to be us," Aurelius said, "I think we should get moving… We don't have much time to spend. They could be laying waste to more villages as we speak."
(Sorry I wasn't on much yesterday. I was having a hard time. What happened so far? I missed two pages.)
(You're fine! It was mostly just conversation… They're about to leave. It was mostly just talking about their goals on the mission, and then Valkyrie's betrayal was brought up, and they're somewhat looking for a why.)
"Someone has to die, and it's not going to be us," Aurelius said, "I think we should get moving… We don't have much time to spend. They could be laying waste to more villages as we speak."
Quincy nodded and looked for the others, "Yeah. Let's get going then, seems like this is it."
"Are we going or what?" Oliver asked impatiently. He had always wanted to go on an adventure like this and show off his skills and prove he was useful.
"Yeah," Aurelius said, "Let's… let's just move out."
Nox started flying away. Aurelius looked over his shoulder to see if the others followed.
Jade took off after Nox taking both her riders with her. The dragon had shot up into the air, and Quincy glared slightly at the troublesome dragon, That's what you get for ignoring me.
Pollux was slightly startled, and made sure he was securely on Jade.
And with that, they were off to the unknown… He was confident, but still just as scared as the next person.
Aurelius got on Nox's back and had her perch around the cave entrance. He saw Lucky and headed over.
"Raring to go too, I see?" he asked, "I hope everything goes smoothly enough."
"Yeah, I guess." She said quietly. Lucky started out into the vast space ahead and stayed quiet for a while, comfortably leaning against the tree
Nox swooped back down near Lucky.
"We're moving out," Aurelius told her, "We need to make a move before anyone else can."
"Of course, do we have enough water?" She asked, trying to take her mind off of the past
Cerulean walked around restlessly. Groaning, he quickly walked over to Shadow and got on her back. "I'm going out." He said to the other dwellers of the cave
"Yeah," Aurelius said, "I think so. We've got enough food for the road, too. Everyone else is already trying to get out of here."
"Then pets go" she smiled
(What's happened so far?)
(Since your last post, they've just started to leave.)
