"I would question him if he was," Quincy said with a scoff, "Besides he has no sense of self preservation. Otherwise he does have some qualities, the problem is no one else wants to step up and take the lead."

"That's fair. None of you ever asked for this…" Pollux sighed, "He's going to get himself killed going on like that though. When did he injure that leg of his? He's been limping around since we first met and usually keeps a bandage on, and when I tried to ask him if he wanted me to try to do anything about it, all he had to say is 'Don't worry about it.' Honey, I know you're hurt. It's literally my job to make sure people don't die and aren't in pain… You don't have to be dying to accept the help of a healer."
"You okay with me riding you Riven?" Riven nodded, he rather someone ride him than be alone. Oliver smiled, he couldn't wait to ride one of the fastest dragon kinds.
Zander smiled and patted Valkyrie's head. It was a bad habit he could never really get rid of. "I knew you could do it." He walked over to Mara's cage. You could tell she's gotten thinner since they didn't feed her much. Zander was frustrated that she hasn't broke yet and was getting fed up. Opening her cage her grabbed her hair and pulled her head up so she was looking at him. "You're coming with me." Mara just glared and stood. It was pointless to fight with him, but she also wasn't going to give in.
Valkyrie scowled a little bit when Zander touched her at first, but she preferred the odd praise over being reprimanded by a long shot.
"Where are you taking her?" she asked, her voice ringing with mostly just curiosity.
Zander turned with no emotion on his face. "My office." He continued to drag her off as she followed. Mars turned back to look at Valkyrie qith also no emotion, as if she didn't care at all about Valkyrie and all the memories were lies. She then turned around and followed Zander.
"Alright. Anything else I can help you with before you go?" Valkyrie asked.
She accidentally had locked eyes with Mara before she left.
"That's fair. None of you ever asked for this…" Pollux sighed, "He's going to get himself killed going on like that though. When did he injure that leg of his? "I swear, idiots, all of them idiots," Quincy said with an elongated sigh, "If someone wants to help let them. Aurelius injured his leg when we were fleeing the village, I took care it the best I could. Which isn't very good, but it wasn't as bad as his arm. Now that's something that should be kept an eye on."
"Gods… what the hell did he do?" Pollux grumbled.
(I love how they're just taking jabs at their leader behind his back, but if Aurelius overheard this, he'd probably just shrug and be like, "you're right, though.")
(Lol, so true though.)
"I'm not even sure anymore," Quincy looked off at Aurelius, "I think he got attacked by the assailants that burned the village down."
"That's not exactly a small thing…" Pollux sighed, "I'll probably start slipping some medicine into his food if I can, to help ward off infection."
"That's not exactly a small thing…" Pollux sighed, "I'll probably start slipping some medicine into his food if I can, to help ward off infection."
Quincy nodded, "I did put a paste on it to prevent an initial infection, so hopefully it did it's job. Even though I never reapplied it."
"Oh, good… I was a little worried about it, if I'm being honest," Pollux admitted.
"I would be, but you don't have to worry about infection," Quincy responded making a slight finger gun with her hand not sure what to do.
"He's gonna get hurt on this mission. I'm calling it now," Pollux muttered, "I know we're not getting away entirely unscathed."
"I called it once the mission had been announced," Quincy mumbled with him, "I'm pretty sure we're all going down with an injury."
"Probably… No matter, I'll be as prepared as possible. That's all I can do," Pollux said, "I'm prepared for the worst, but I don't truly think the worst is going to happen."
"We say that, then watch the worst happen," Quincy sighed, "We're jinxed. Absolutely jinxed."
"Eh… Worst case scenario is everyone dies. Won't let that happen," Pollux promised.
Quincy gave him a quick smile, "Sounds good. No death today!"
Aurelius peered down into the cave and looked around.
"Everyone ready to get going? We're burning daylight."
Pollux gave him a thumbs-up. "I think so!" Then he turned to Quincy. "Well, here we go, I guess."
Quincy sighed and hopped onto Jade, "Indeed here we go. Let's hope it all goes better than expected."
Pollux carefully perched himself on Jade as well. He checked his bag one last time to make sure he hadn't forgotten anything.
Aurelius was outside by now, and Nox was flying in place a few dozen feet above the entrance. It was obvious he was anxious to get going and get this over with. After all, he wanted everything he knew back…
Jade walked out of the cave with the two riders on her back. She huffed slightly as Quincy looked to Aurelius, "Are the others out here already?"
(Uhhh idk, should we just go?)
Aurelius looked around; he was clearly preoccupied. "I'm not sure about everyone. Most of them are, at least."
