"Bearable?" she asked with a giggle.
"Bearable?" she asked with a giggle.
"Mmmm. Try lovable. Or amazing. Or cute."
Reese reached up and slowly tugged on a piece of her hair. "That's funny. I could say the same thing about you."
"Highly doubt that."
Reese pouted. "But it's true!"
"No proof."
"Want proof?" Reese challenged.
"Sure. I doubt you'll be able to find any."
Slowly, Reese sat up and reached for her pocket.
A. raised an eyebrow in slight confusion.
Reese pulled out her phone and put it on the camera. She snapped a picture of A and cried. "A-ha!"
"Your evidence is falsified, sorry."
"No, it's not," Reese stated, zooming in on the picture. "Stunning eyes… beautiful hair… I'm afraid the evidence is against your claim."
"Are you sure it's me you're looking at? And not, I don't know, a picture literally anyone else?"
She zoomed out again and grinned as she showed her the picture. "Yep!"
"Oh, that's a really nice picture of a friend you've got there. I've never seen photo evidence of one." She said, leaning in and examining the photo.
Reese shut off her phone and sighed. "Please? You look… totally beautiful. I look like a Barbie doll."
"I like Barbies? Barbie is one of the many reasons I started playing hockey?"
"Really? How?"
"She shows girls that they can do anything, y'know? It was a message that hit hard, and here I am, a hockey playing lawyer in training."
Reese shifted. "Yeah… but no one wants to look like one…"
"Barbie is amazing and so are you, you can fight me. Plus, I uh….I had a huge crush on Barbie when I was younger…" She flushed, looking down.
Reese blushed. "R-Really?"
"Yeah…"
"Well…" She didn't know quite what to say.
