"It's too late. You can't change my mind, no one's been able to do that in five years."

Reese sighed and leaned her head back. "Ow."
"What's wrong? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine," she replied. Her shoulder was numbed – it was her ankle that was killing her now.
She pulled out the balm and handed it to Reese. "Here, keep it. Something else is hurting, isn't it?"
"I'm fine," she repeated and waved it away.
"Bullshit~" She sang, setting it down in Reese's lap.
"I don't need this," she said, holding it back out to A.
"Jeez, are you always this stubborn? Don't you know it's rude to return a gift?"
Reese pulled back her arm. "Sorry." She hated making people feel bad.
"Mhmm… That must be nice." She finally looked over at him – really looked over at him – through her black rimmed glasses.
Blaze grinned his cheeky smile when he saw her look his way. "It really is. Do you do anything fun?"

Bridget shrugged. "Most of my free time is devoted to my classes, and if not, my business." She briefly checked her phone again. Nothing. She breathed out sharply and looked back over at him.
A huffed, turning and plopping her head down in Reese's lap, looking up at the other girl in mock annoyance. "You're driving me nuts, you know that? And I don't even like nuts."
Reese smiled shyly and bit her lip. "I'm sorry…"
"Sweetheart, you gotta stop apologizin', 'specially for things that don' matter."
"Sor–" She cut herself off, blushing as she realized she was going to apologize again.
A laughed, poking Reese in the stomach lightly. "Jeez, it's like it's ingrained in you."
"Is that a bad thing?" she asked worriedly.
"Nah, it's kinda cute."
"Stop calling me cute," she murmured quietly.
"Hhhmm…how 'bout gorgeous? Ravishing, beautiful, stunning, precious?"
Reese shook her head. "I'm not any of those things."
"Well, I'm the one looking right at you, and I say that you are sooo…." She said with a smug smirk.

"I'm not," Reese retorted.
"I'm adding adorable and really pretty to the list and you can't stop me."
