"Business major, economics minor," she replied evenly, hardly sparing him a glance. Her foot tapped anxiously.
"Well that's nice. Is it fun or nice in any way?" He asked, noting that she was a tough shell to crack.

"If you count being busy all the time as fun, then yes." She checked her phone, then looked at the door, back to the phone, and put it away again.
"Uh, yeah? I wasn't just planning on taking you on one dinner date. I like you and want to take you on more?" She tilted her head, a bit confused.
"Oh," she said quietly, her blush becoming even more obvious.
A grin spread slowly across her face as she leaned closer to Reese. "Oh?"

"Oh, that's tough." He sympathized before lifting his face back up. "Well, in our class, our professor is very lenient and lets us do a bunch of things."
A grin spread slowly across her face as she leaned closer to Reese. "Oh?"
Reese's stomach flipped. "Uh… um… yeah?" She looked away from A's eyes.

"Mhmm… That must be nice." She finally looked over at him – really looked over at him – through her black rimmed glasses.
A grin spread slowly across her face as she leaned closer to Reese. "Oh?"
Reese's stomach flipped. "Uh… um… yeah?" She looked away from A's eyes.
A small smirk played on A's lips as she stopped, close to Reese. "That okay with you?"
Reese licked her lips timidly. "I don't know…" she whispered. "I, uh…"
She glanced down at Reese's lips and back up with a full blown smirk, leaning back. "Let me know. I've got some fun things planned."
Reese's face was hot. "Uh… okay," she whispered. Her voice was soft.
"You're cute when you're flustered."
"Um… thank you?" she said, almost questioning it.
That made A laugh. "You are, sweetheart."
Reese bit her lip and pressed the ice a bit harder against her shoulder, which was almost numb,
A hummed as she pulled a book out of her bag, grinning at Reese's response.
"Whatcha readin'?" Reese piped up. She loved books.
"You can't laugh."
"Uh… okay? I wasn't going to anyway."
"It's Pride and Prejudice" She mumbled, showing her the cover of the book.
"Oh!" Reese exclaimed. "I just love Jane Austen's writing! Have you ever read Emma?"
"A-actually, this is the first of hers I'm reading. It was recommended by the Ms. Alonzo, the librarian."
"Oh, she's a magnificent author…" Reese remarked dreamily.
A raised an eyebrow. "I'll have to get on reading then, if you like her so much."
Reese blushed. "You don't have to read them because I like them. You should read what you like."
