"Oh." Kiki mumbled, "all the time? Or, just every now and again. Like 'hey still alive? Good see you next week.' Or always?"
"Oh." Kiki mumbled, "all the time? Or, just every now and again. Like 'hey still alive? Good see you next week.' Or always?"
"It really depends on your emotion. That's what draws us. Only when you need us." Heaven explains.
Kiki put her head in her hands, "but," she looked for a way to explain the fact that she was a natrally scared person. "I just, I'm a-" she looked at them hopelessly, not being able to find the words.
Halo raises a brow then smiles faintly. "A human in a war torn world. It's okay. You are special." He offers her an encouraging smile.
"No, not special. Not-" Kiki sighed, "I'm always panicking, always nervous. But I don't want people watching me. It makes me more nervous."
"We only 'watch' you to make sure you're safe. We normally don't do anything more."
"But watching is still creppy." She muttered more to herself then to the others. Kiki glanced up at the door again, "you won't force me to come back?"
Happy shakes his head. "We can't force you to do anything. You can stay, leave, come and go. Whatever you please."
Kiki to a cautious step off the bottom stare, another step closer to the door. "Thank you for you hospitality." She mumbled before quickly exiting back into the cold air.
Halo watches her leave before shutting his door. He settles back on the couch next to his sister.
Kiki wrapped her arms around herself, no longer used to the chilly winter air. She kept looking back, and occasionally stopping to look around for the beast. Hoping that it wasn't watching her.
Halo talks with Heaven, his eyes tired and ready for sleep. He hums as he listens to his sister's report.
Kiki decided she'd had back to a town that wasn't far. It'd have supplies that she'd most likely need, and who knows perhaps shed find a sweater for something.
Finally Heaven left and Halo settles on the couch falling asleep. He sighs softly.
"Stupid." Kiki mumbled to herself. The temperature had rapidly been dropping, and walking to the town in the cold would have been suicide. Kiki knocked on the door to Halos cabin.
Halo looks up and sets down his book. He opens the door and starts. "Oh. Hello. Welcome back, Kiki. Come. Get warm. Do you need anything?"
Kiki stayed at the door defiantly, but decided to trust Halo. "I um was wondering if you had a sweater I could barrow. Its uh okay if you don't. But I was just trying to get to a town near here but it got to cold-" she stopped herself, noticing she was rambling.
Halo nods. "I'm sure I gave one of Heaven's old ones. Come in and get warm. I'll go look for it."
Kiki thought of just waiting by the door, but the cold bitting at her back was like a push inwards. She took a step in and closed the door behind herself.
Halo walked upstairs, searching for some sort of coat and what not. He managed to find a heavy coat, plenty thick enough to manage someone the winter.
Kiki leaned on the wall closest to the door while rubbing her arms for warmth but soon stopped when she heard a noise. 'its nothing. Just the wind.' she told herself.
Halo walks down the stairs and sees her. "I have the coat." He pulls the thick, soft jacket from behind his back and offers it to her.
Kikis jaw dropped at the sight of the coat, "I uh, it doesn't need to be so nice." She muttered while still starring.
Halo chuckles. "It's okay. I have another one anyways. This was Heaven's old jacket, she was to small for it, so… Yeah. It's really warm, too. So you won't freeze to death."
"A-are you sure its okay? I'm sorry I don't mean to be needy." Kiki shook her head at herself. "Its uh, actually its okay. I don't need it. Sorry."
