Suddenly, both Scout and Kira were in cages. A human trapper had come up silently behind them. Scout yipped desperately, scratching on the bars of the cage.

Kira tried to bite whoever was grabbing her, she threw bites and scratches in every direction, until her mouth found a fleshy skin and bit as hard as she could

Scout whimpered and walked in small circles within his cage. "Kira?" He couldn't see very well out of the bars, but he could hear an angry human and Kira growling.

She then felt a sharp pain in her shoulders, she tried to see what was that hurted her but she was being held down, she then started to feel tired

"Kira? W-what's going on? Are you okay?" Scout yipped louder until a human banged on the side of the cage and yelled at him to be quiet. He cowered in the corner with his tail between his legs. Suddenly, the cage lurched and they were moving. Their cages had been put in a car or truck of some sort, and they were being taken somewhere. Scout felt a sharp prick on his back and turned towards the source. One of the humans had stabbed him with something, and he soon fell asleep in the corner.

Kira woke up from her slumber, her head making turns and spins, she felt like throwing up but she kept what was in her stomach in her stomach

Scout groaned when he woke up, feeling dizzy and weak. "K-Kira…?" He looked around, but didn't try to stand.

"Scout? Scout! where are you I can't see you!" Kira said panicking

"I dunno…" He pulled himself to his feet, swaying a bit. He was still in a cage, but this one was a bit larger and made of some strange smelling substance (plastic). "I'm in another weird cage, I think.."

"damn it" she said as she tried to bit down the bars of her cage

He scratched weakly at the sides of the cage, whimpering. "W-what do the humans want with us, Kira?"

"I don't know, I only know is that they kill animals, but I don't know what for" Kira said giving up, she sat down and looked hopelessly at the cage's floor

"What?! I don't wanna die!" Scout scratched the sides of the cage more frantically to no effect.

"Hey hey its ok its ok we will make it out, somehow" She said trying to calm down the altered fox

Scout curled up in the corner of the cage, whimpering. "W-what if we can't get out? What if my parents get captured if they come looking for me? W-we're gonna be stuck here forever…"

"No we won't, when they open the cage we will attack until we are unable to do so okay?" Kira said trying to make Scout to calm down

"Okay… okay… I-I can do that… I doubt they're gonna be very afraid of me though, they could just grab me and go. I'm not very big, or experienced at fighting."

"Make a lot of noise, that will creep 'em out"

(What does the fox say?)
"Okay. Like this?" Scout made a weird sort of squeaky chirping sound.

"yeah! Like that! just scream and scream" Kira said cheering Scout

"Okay!" The humans came in and threw the door of Scout's cage open, grabbing him by the scruff of the neck. As promised, he made the strange screeching sound, and he fell the floor. He got into a defensive position, now growling and trying to look as menacing as a fox kit can.

"Yeah! You go boy!" Kira said as she started barking, howling, growling and everything she could to distract and scare the humans

Scout ran and hid behind a bush outside, waiting for Kira to break free and join him.

The humans opened her cage and the attacked whoever opened her cage, the person screamed and pushed Kira off of him/her, Kira then escaped and ran away hiding on some nearby bushes
