"Jordan, honey, I'm not as naive as I let on. I don't know if I like where your mind is, like why cake?" Kale turned to Jay, their eyes bright. "You're gay too? I guess I don't know you as well as I thought I did."
"Jordan, honey, I'm not as naive as I let on. I don't know if I like where your mind is, like why cake?" Kale turned to Jay, their eyes bright. "You're gay too? I guess I don't know you as well as I thought I did."
"I'm not gay. At least not completely." Jay replied.
"Honey? Seriously?"
"Hold up, what do you mean 'not completely'?" They dismissed Jordan's question, thinking it was a stupid question.
"Pan. I'm pan."
"Heeey." Jordan halfheartedly tried to ask the question again, "Heeey… hi…" he knew he was being an ass but didnt really care.
"I see… Interesting." They were thankful that Jay couldn't see the brief smile that appeared on their face. "Are we good now? No one got anything else they want to say been as how we seem to just be revealing loads of stuff?"
"Haha. No… maybe not."
"Maybe? You didn't sound convinced." Kale glanced at the clock on the wall. "Two more hours until visiting time is finished, lets see what else we can discover about each other!"
"Uh…" Jordan had a lot more to say but… no guts.
"I guess not then." Kale smiled, running their hands through their hair. "Well I think we can safely say this has been interesting."
"yep. Very interesting. I now know a bit too much."
Jordan covers his face again
"Define 'a bit too much'. I want to know exactly what- actually no I don't because I don't want him getting ideas." They pointed their thumb to Jordan with a scowl. "Can we change the topic now?"
"sure. Ummmmmm. Describe the ceiling of this room." Jay said asking the first thing that came to mind.
Kale scowled, staring up at the ceiling. "Uhm.. there's grey panels, some of which have lights inside them, and a ventilation system in the middle of the ceiling."
Before Kale could continue to describe the dull ceiling, the door was slowly pushed open and a nurse poked her head around the corner. "Visiting time will be ending soon, please be ready to vacate the premises." she closed the door.
"I guess that's our cue." Kale sighed, pulling themselves out of the armchair. "We'll most likely come back tomorrow, just to see how everything is." And hopefully Jordan will be discharged at the same time! Kale hesitantly reached for Jay's hand, pulling their arm back while shaking their head. "You ready to go, Jay?"
"yeah. Bye Jordan." Jay said then pushed off from the wall he was leaning against.
"Bye guys."
"Don't do anything while we're gone, alright." Kale glanced in Jordan's direction. "I want to come back and not hear that you've been terrorising the other patients."
They opened the door, turning to Jordan, flashing a bright smile. "This was fun." they left the room, slowly walking down the hallway.
"Dont terroris the others?!"
Kale could be heard laughing from down the hall. "Be a good boy and everything will be fine!" they had a wide grin on their face, satisfied with themselves, and they shoved their hands into their pockets. "Come on Jay, lets get out of here. We have exploring to do!"
Jay nodded and followed kale down the hall by the sound of his footsteps down it.
"Do you want to stay out or head back to the care home?" Kale asked, falling back to walk next to Jay.
"Stay out. I feel like I have been outdoors too much." Jay replied.
"You want to stay out because you've been outside too much? I mean im not complaining but that didn't make sense." They ruffled Jay's hair, chuckling.
