“Ok then. But we should only eat if and when we get hungry.”

Disappointed that the attention had been taken off of her, Chicago sighed dramatically. "I'll be in the corner with my bagels and $105 dollars that was supposed to go towards a prom dress, but. . . let's be real, I probably won't be going to prom anyway."

“Prom? Do you have a date? I love prom, well romance more specifically. And save your money we have enough food.”

"A date? Yeah. Lovely fool named Bryce," she said, staring blankly ahead of her from the wall she had slid down against, cereal-covered bagel in hand.

"eh, i plan on spending prom at home eating pizza. with my cat." he mumbled.

“Looks like someone really likes this Bryce.” She smiled. “Tell me about him.”

"If only," she sighed. "Try doing that when your mom is the school principal."

“Wow, have fun.” Violet laughed.

Otis slowly walked away, regretting that he had ever said anything and he just sat in a dark corner.
