"Okay, what have we not done…?"Nova entered the barn with Wren. "Oh… hey we've already done everything…" She laughed nervously, realizing her mistake.

“Honest mistake. Come on. Let’s go get my guitar.” Wren grabbed her hand and led her back to the guest house where he had left his guitar.

"Oh, alright." Nova followed Wren over and sat on the porch. "We probably shouldn't go back over there… looks like they're still fighting." They had a clear view of the lake from where they were at.

"How, did I get stuck with you?" Ashton sighed. Lily grabbed him and pulled him in "Hey!" She turned away."It's payback. I don't see why you hate me so much?" Lily said as she watched and waited for Nova and Wern to return. "I think I hate you, that's a pretty strong feeling. I just don't like you." He crawled out of the lake. "I'm leaving." Lily got out of the lake. "I'm sorry it's not my fault your not likable." She kicked Ashton back in the lake and ran to where Nova was.

“We’ll give them…ten minutes or so? See what happens.” He quickly walked in and grabbed the guitar and sat back down next to Nova.

Nova saw Lily approaching, but Wren hadn't seemed to notice. "Hey can we go inside. I'm not really a big fan of bugs."

“Sure, lead the way.” He said, holding the door open for Nova and smiling.

Lily hugged Nova. She just couldn't handle it anymore. Ashton was a jerk and she wanted him gone. She tried her best to hold back her tears, she didn't want Wren to see her like this.

“It’s…an escape.” He said, simple. Not wanting to go into to much detail about why, meaning he’d have to explain about his parents

"From what?"

He didn’t want to say but felt someone should know, “My parents…” He tried not to sound like a baby.

"Oh." Nova paused. "Sorry for asking…" He really didn't sound like he wanted to talk about it.

Lily was going to knock but didn't want to ruin the vibe Nova had going. She can't go to the lake, because Ashton is there. "The barn it is." She turned and walked to the barn and sat inside letting her tears fall.

“No, no…it’s fine,” He said strumming a few chords, “Just didn’t think you’d want to hear my tragic backstory.”

"You can tell me." Nova said, a bit to eager, "Well, if you want. You don't have to, of course, cause, youu know… your tragic backstory, not mine, right?" She laughed nervously.

Ashton came back wet and pissed. He opened the door not caring at this point "Where. Is. Lily!" Anger all over his face.

He sighed and played another chord, “My…my parents…” He paused for a moment, and lowered the guitar. He couldn’t say it so why not show it. He turned his back and lifted his shirt over his head, revealing the many scars the lined his back. He hung in head in shame.

Nova turned her head sharply, looking at Aston. She suddenly noticed how close she was sitting to Wren. "Wh-uh-she isn't here!" She blushed, realizing how it must look for her to be sitting close to Wren with his shirt off.

Wren at this point, didn’t care what Ashton thought. This was the first time, he’d spoken to someone about this.
