Arien couldn't either, not really. He was grinning like a madman, leaning his head on Rafael's shoulder as they headed back home.
Rafael hummed softly as they walked back, enjoying this moment where they could be alone. “Are we almost there?” He asked.
"Almost," Ariean said softly. He was still in a bit of amazement that Rafael and he… were actually like this. He turned, bringing Rafael down the walk to the front of the house.
(Wouldn't it be a shame if)
(Elliot showed up)
(At the house)
(Before them)
((That would be a shame))
(a crying shamebut our new friend was in a world of pain)
((Lol))
He let Arien guide him back towards the house. He couldn’t stop smiling.
Arien opened the door when they reached it, looking over at Rafael with a grin. He looked in the house though, and stiffened.
"Why are you here?"he growled.
“Arien?” He asked softly, not sure what was happening.
Arien moved to be in front of Rafael, protective.
"What? You used to be happy when I'd surprise you like this." Elliot. He was sat on the back of the couch, legs handing down.
Rafael tensed up at hearing Elliot’s voice. What was he doing here?
"Not after the shit you pulled," Arien growled in turn. Elliot huffed a bit, getting down off the couch and moving to walk towards the two.
"Look, I didn't mean for it to get hurt-"
"His name is Rafael," Arien interrupted. He wasn't going to let Elliot call Rafael an it.
Rafael was glad that Arien was standing up for him. He didn’t say anything yet, frankly not wanting to get involved, he just wanted Elliot to leave.
Elliot huffed again.
"Fine- I didn't mean to hurt him, you were the one who let him look at the light." Arien scowled, one arm going back to hold Rafael's hand.
If Rafael could’ve rolled his eyes he would’ve, Elliot had clearly done it on purpose.
"I don't care whether you meant to or not. Get. out." Elliot growled a bit.
"So you'd throw away your closest friend for some trash human who'll be dead ina few years! And that's if you don't kill him while feeding!!"
Rafael growled a bit at that. “Don’t talk to him like that!”
Elliot glared daggers at Rafael, and then he did the unthinkable- he leapt, trying to get his hands around Rafael's neck. Arien was stunned, trying to step in and stop the witch.
Rafael, not expecting the attack, went down hard. “What the hell!” He croaked out, trying to push the other off of him.
Elliot was raging, clawing at Rafael and trying to choke the man. Arien let out a choked yell, helped to get the man off of Rafael, promptly kicking him out the door and slamming it shut.
Rafael was stuck coughing on the floor for another second after Arien had kicked Elliot out. “Jesus Christ! What the hell!”
Arien watched to make sure Elliot left, then quickly knelt by Rafael's side.
"Are you okay??" He asked, his voice concerned.
He nodded. “I’m fine..” he finally stopped coughing, having recovered his breath.
Arien carefully helped Rafael sit up, some, an arm around him.
"I'm so sorry about that," he said softly. They'd had such a good night, too…
