Oof I can't join yall tomorrow. I'm heading down to the valley to celebrate the grandparents' birthdays (they're within a week of each other and Poppa is turning 80)

Yes I know.
I have missed having tea for the last three days now though, but I’m pretty sure my family had fish because it was Friday so I guess it’s not that bad.

I’ll settle with a bowl of oxygen with a side of disappointment again.

but fucking auditioning for DM is super fun

I love conducting, my BD is super helpful and giving me tips on how to sight read a score she gave to audition with

And most importantly

I get to sell myself as a good drum major

I think the most stressful part is the video audition where I have to record myself, but that’s it.

Good luck with your audition!! I'm going out for As You Like It in July, idk who I'm auditioning for though. Hoping for Jaques, but I'll probably get Adam. Rosalind would be amazing, of course, but there's next to no way I'm getting the lead.

Thanks!! Everything’s not due till July 1 (as said), but now that I’ve gotten some practice with conducting again and looked at the stuff we have to do, I’m pretty confident I can get this done under five days. I just have to be super careful with my grades moving on if I want to do that.

Dude, never say never. Get that mindset that you can get the position you want.
