Why thank you~
:)
np!! :D
okay fairies
give me information on fairies
maybe fairies who live in houses
literally anything
resource links
i wanna know about them
more specifically, i recently remembered that we used to have a small group (family??) of fairies who lived in our house when i was younger
i could see their smol little bodies moving around and it was so cute-
they lived inside of a light lamp thing on the ceiling but then we remodeled our house a little bit and they moved out
they also decided to take the light with them, so thats no longer here
but like
i kinda wanna talk to them
get em to move back in or smth lmao
So I finally got a pendulum last week- and actually got to pick it out in person because I discovered a cool local crystal shop I didn't know about.
And honestly? Doing readings is really interesting so far. I'm just floored by how weird it is that my hand like knows to move a certain way, just barely to get that answer to your question. Even when I don't mean for it to and I'm holding essentially still.
I read that you start with questions you already know the answer to, and I've moved on to ones I think I know the answer to, like "should I do this thing?" that I've come close to making a decision on, or "do I feel x way about person y?"
Also, to clarify, I mostly use witchcraft as a tool to tap into my own subconscious and do introspection and meditation. I don't necessarily view magic as strictly supernatural. (And whatever supernatural is there? I'm probably going to sit out on interacting with it for the most part. Too much for my brain.)
Enough rambling probably. But yeah. Pendulums are really cool.
Oh yeah! And aside from pendulum and tarot, what are some other good methods of divination? I've seen rune stones and tea leaf readings, and I've yet to try both. What are anyone's thoughts on those, and are there other divination methods?
scrying in water and mirrors and ink divination are ones i know about!
also if anyone is looking for cool runes this etsy shop makes the prettiest resin ones with ethically sourced natural things like butterfly wings, teeth, snake vertebrae, bones, and claws! i've spoken with the person who makes them and they're super nice and even do customs, and i'm getting a pendant from the store tomorrow!
Oh, those are really neat! I'm kind of a sucker for flowers in resin lmao
Don't have $40 to dish out on runes rn but those are really pretty.
they're gorgeous, there were some that were a black resin with gold leaf and bobcat claws a while ago and i died
dude same. i plan on buying some for a family friend though, cause he's super into them. so i guess i'm saving up lmao
Happy Midwinter! An important holiday in Irish paganism :)

@Icicle
Just thought I’d tag you since you’re interested!
Thanks! It'll take me a while to read through the chat, but I'll definitely work on it :)
Don't let dumbfuck white-supremacist "asatru" organizations stop you from pursuing a Heathen/Norse/Germanic path.
okay weird thing but
so i've always had this connection to the greek pantheon, just a fascination and interest that started really really young. but lately i've found myself super intrigued by norse mythology and particularly the witch and pagan practices???
Follow👏that👏curiosity👏
where the heck do i even start tho
I've seen some of this guys stuff, he seems legit?
oh wack, thank you!!
Oh Mother of Aengus- today's youth group lesson is about Christ redeeming Christmas. To sum it up-
"Does anyone know where Christmas originally came from?"
Group: the pagan holiday of Yule
"That's right, and we all know pagans are bad, so here's what they used to do on Yule"
proceeds to read from the Bible about middle eastern pagans even though Yule as we know it came from Indo-European traditions, and beyond that a lot of the modern Christmas traditions Christians celebrate come from Iberno-Celtic winter solstice costums. To my knowledge, at least
"So, why should we as Christians celebrate Christmas if it's a pagan holiday?"
Group: crickets
Me: in pure agony, thinking well in reality, probably because of syncretism with a dash of appropriation sprinkled on top
"Well, it's because Christ has redeemed it for us. It used to be pagan but now we can celebrate it because Jesus made it his own. But, you ask, why do all the older Christmas stories sound like Jesus's birth? It's because Satan puts counterfeits throughout history to fool us."
Mans is legitness claiming pagans appropriated the real Christmas story.. from the past… so really Christians have the og Christmas.. even though that version came later in many cases… because Satan.
My aunt just got me my first oracle deck!!!
She's a witch too I think
Any tips for oracle card usage?

How do I tell if there's a spirit or something around, or if it's just my imagination acting up? Because for the past few nights I've felt like…really weird, I suppose would be the best word for it. Like, the back of my neck gets that weird feeling you get when someone's watching, but I'm alone in the bedroom I'm sleeping in. Or I feel like I heard someone breathe for just a second and then it's gone again, or I get random chills and my hands are freezing. But mostly it's just this really overwhelming feeling of being watched/someone being in the room?? But this has been happening for years and I've always just dismissed it as an overactive imagination. Usually at home it's fine, and if I do feel strange like that I just get my dog and keep her in my room with me and the feeling goes away. Ditto if anyone's in the room with me. But if I'm alone at night and don't have any music playing, it gets like I just described. Maybe it's like. anxiety or an overactive imagination, but I'm not sure?? Help
also really sorry for that block of text, whoops
i mean it SOUNDS spooky to me. would you say it happens around the same time or the same days each time? like a weekly/monthly/whatever schedule? because we have a ghost with a schedule that drops him here the days leading up to halloween lmao
do you feel like its malevolent? like when you get that feeling, saying it is actually something, have you ever felt scared or fearful of harm? like beyond the normal 'hey somethin aint right' that obviously comes with spirits
I don't really know, I know that it tends to happen on "Darker" nights, if that makes sense? Like sometimes just after I turn my lights off to go to sleep the room looks darker than it normally is at night, and those are usually the nights that feel the spookiest/weirdest. I do know that it normally happens between midnight and one, and sometimes after one too, depending on when I'm awake. I mean…sounds like he's just getting in the spirit of the season to me lmao
I don't know, honestly. Like…it freaks me out but I'm also kinda easy to freak out. I don't know if it's scaring me on purpose or if it's just me being scared of the unknown
normal spirit time, for sure. and honestly i think moonless nights are common for spirit bastardry. i've heard people note(and experience it myself) that rooms where paranormal activity happens will often seem darker than dark should, so i'd take note of how your room's darkness is too
my recommendation? try and note what days it happens, look for patterns, and take careful stock of how you feel. if you honestly fear for your safety, then safety measures would probably be the next step. if it's just a spooked vibe, and you dont want to actually try and block/get rid of it, then just coming to terms with and not fearing it anymore is good.
as for telling if it's actually a ghost or something, i'm not super knowledgeable there
