Caves!
Have you heard of Maximilian Grotto? It's in Germany, I went a few years back and it was absolutely amazing. Very beautiful and also was discovered by am 'insane' woman falling through the ground and landing in it. You can still see the hole she fell through. There's a screen over it now.
Oh, I haven't! I've only gone to a few more local caves in Indiana, like the Marengo caves, and an underground river tour (I can't remember the name of it at the moment, I think it was blue river but I'm probably wrong)
I just love everything about them, even if I'm not the most knowledgeable
It was in fact Bluespring Caverns Park! It was a lot of fun to go
[me: a goblincore aesthetic person in conjunction to my witch-shit] Mmm, yes,
c A v E s!
Aight who has experience with energy work?
I know that it's something you gotta be rlly in tune with, so I've started a meditation practice every morning but my ADD brain isn't exactly happy with it.
I want to be able to feel my own ~energy~ first ofc, and I know there's some guided meditations to try but if you guys have any personal tips and tricks or anecdotes I'm happy to hear them 👌
I’m just popping back in to say that I’m happy to see people active here~ ♡
I made a lil jar thing for Aphrodite and am wearing it today, I feel really confident in my outfit today as well, so I think She's realized that I'm wearing it

Thank you for making this! We all are enjoying it!
A question on magickal ethics- is it ok to work a positive spell on someone else, without them knowing? For example, say a friend is sick, or has a job interveiw coming up. Would it be ethical to work a healing spell or luck spell on them without their consent? Some argue it takes away free will, others argue other religious people pray for goodness in others lives all the time without their permission. What's your opinion? Have any insight?
My opinion is never do anything without someone’s consent. I know that there’s always the argument that other religions will pray for the other people without consent, but even that is a violation of personal space in my opinion. If the person seems indifferent to it or happy for help, you can go ahead and do a non-violating spell. I personally would never do anything more to represent them than their name if they are not fully aware of what you are doing and/or are not a practicing witch themselves. Anything like using their hair or image is an extreme violation in my opinion unless they are actively participating. Of course, these are ENTIRELY my own views, and are certainly not something I am going to lecture anyone about.
I agree. No matter the intentions I think it's hella important to be clear and honest with them first.
Ok, can I please just rant about all the stupid jar spells that claim to “cure” DEPRESSION!? Because sure, it can be helped and eased but Depression is a serious illness and a few rocks and petals in a jar is NOT A F###ING CURE, NO MATTER WHAT YOUR SKILL LEVEL IN MAGIC IS!! If I see one more spell that claims to “cure” an actual MENTAL ILLNESS I’m going to throw something.
(And for the record this is not a rant against the spells that are supposed to help and supplement temporary relief along with proper medical attention.)
^^^ For things that need medical attention, magic should be used only as supplement. It's not a cure-all.
Things like that kind of minimize the experience of depression/mental illness too.
Thank you!! Sorry, I was just going through Pinterest and I saw an excessive amount of Depression “cure” spells and I needed to rant.
When you haven't had any motivation to do any schoolwork for days and you're low-key failing a few classes but then you halfheartedly draw your sigil for getting homework done and you're suddenly filled with every idea for the dumb essay ever and you get it done within the hour :D

Okay hey guys I know I don't talk much here but I just am curious. Around fall, this happened last fall and now this fall too, large swarms of black crows follow me everywhere quite a bit. There's always at least 1 crow around me when I walk anywhere or go outside. And I'm not saying in passing like hopping from light post to building to tree, following. When I get to my neighborhood which is pretty heavily wooded, it's larger swarms, sometimes so big it fills up whole streets. If I walk forward the blockage gets heavier so I end up walking a different way. If you need any more details let me know.
Do they have a reason to associate you with something good perhaps? Have you fed them or do you wear shiny things a lot? That’s just the logical explanation.
Not a logical or really witchy explanation, but that is badass af and I think you hit second peak goth
Thank you, thank you. No not really. I wear like bright colors but nothing like shiny very often if ever, and I don't feed them. Ah yes I'm just gonna carry bread crumbs everywhere, call me Gretel XD. No but seriously, I'm not even goth! I'm an alt indie girl whose constantly stuck in 5 time periods at once.
Crows migrate this time of year and aren't anti-social, so it could just be coincidence. But if you really feel like there is some spiritual matter at hand, maybe look into what dieties are associated with crows. Off the top of my head I can say Apollo and The Morrigan are both crow-related dieties. But of course, crows are omens on their own.
True. But it didn't start happening until last year ya know? And just. The energy. The only tid bit of information I have is that Loki is one of the gods I work with pretty closely.
just cannot stop thinking of the crow symbolism nursery rhyme….
One for sorrow
Two for mirth
Three for a wedding
Four for a birth
Five for silver
Six for gold
Seven for a secret never to be told
(Yes I have that memorized)
I know it cannot apply to this if you have a massive murder on your hands, but I CANNOT stop thinking about it!!

I looked it up and while Loki has been known to shape-shift into crows/ravens, ultimately they have a stronger connection to Odin (in that pantheon)
