“What happened?” The figure laughed a little when she fell and went over to her. He offered her a hand up.
“What happened?” The figure laughed a little when she fell and went over to her. He offered her a hand up.
"It- It's nothing." Hinata shuddered, accepting the hand. She managed to keep herself from having a panic attack. Five other people?!
“Alright, just stopping rock that stool of yours, it won’t be great for your physical body if you’re gonna keep doing that…” his Apathy ability wasn’t active at the moment.
Tonakee sighed after a moment, a gave a short laugh. She looked to Baasarn. "I'm afraid I must take my leave. They need me back at camp," she sighed as she stood up and stretched. "I'm very glad I got to meet you, and I hope we can meet up sometime later." She gave a slight bow, placed a few silver coins on the table and walked towards the door.
"Hah! That's kind of funny," she said to the figure.
“Sit, we still have something to talk about I think…” he said, setting himself on the stool next to hers.
Hinata sat next to him, waiting for him to continue.
The barkeep watch this exchange with a strange expression on her face. She poured the cloaked figure his drink and looked warily at Hinata, still wobbling in her seat. "Can we get your name? It's a little tradition here."
“Name? I don’t really have one but I go by The Mystic Silencer” the cloaked figure answered, taking a gulp of his drink.
"Anyone wanna start a bar fight-" The narrator asked, taking another swig of his drink before someone entered, actually, two someones. One of them was a man with leg braces and crutches and the other was a man with the bottom half of a snake. "No, you will not be starting another bar fight, we just finished cleaning up the last one. We had to give the owner a few coins to pay for it." The Naga growled, slithering over to grab the Narrator's ear and pull him down.
"OOOH!! Eris, I've found your twin!" Brie said, pointing to the snake. "Hello, apologies on behalf of her. You too are of the Sarnkind?" Eris slithered over to the other snake man.
Hinata raised an eyebrow. She remembered hearing about Silencer.
(I have found a way for Hinata to be in both the Soul Labyrinth and the Tavern at the same time)
"You mean a Naga, if so, I suppose." The snake said, smiling with sharp teeth. The man with the leg braces limped over, smacking the Naga's tail lightly with his crutch. "You were supposed to wait for me." He said, his tone light but turning darker as he turned to the narrator. "I swear to your mother if you keep leaving us I'm going to make you the unluckiest man alive."
"Bar fights are tolerated but not encouraged." The barkeep poured herself a glass of glowing liquid. "However…I do love some drama."
Cassio had emptied his glass long ago, the Iwothnocpr thrumming through his veins comfortingly familiar and achingly nostalgic at the same time. He listened to the conversations still, but after the man with the skeletal steeds left he hadn't felt the threatening aura of danger return, he was fine with tuning out again.
Relaxing into the chair and wondering if his brother had managed to get himself into too much trouble recently, Cassio decided that this would most definitely be a place he would make an effort to return to. Lazily he stretched, yawning as he convinced himself to get up and face his dreary existence in the outside realms. "Thank you for your hospitality, ma'am. I shall be sure to recommend this place to others looking for a strong drink and interesting interactions."
Baasarn had stood up, his tail unwrapping from the chair it had been curled around, using it to push the piece of fashioned wood back to its place against the table. As Tonakee sudden returned to speaking to him, he only gave a bow to her, tail flicking in response. It was time he himself took his leave. There was work elsewhere that needed to be looked into, and so the draconic humanoid also walked out without another word, disappearing down the path as he went.
"Rufus…I told you to try and keep your temper…you know how humans get…"
Two males were making their way down another path. They were dark in skin-tone, both having pairs of wolf-like ears atop their heads, tails trailing behind them. They were both seemingly quite tall, though currently at the moment the male on the left was currently walking with a limp, one arm hanging limply against his side.
"And YOU know those fucking bastards don't know when to leave well enough alone. Should've just let me rip him a new throat, would've shut him up."
The male on the right's ears twitched a bit, but remained mostly laid back against his head, "I didn't…because you know what Sonja would do to us if we became too brash among humans."
At the mention of the name 'Sonja', the left instantly shut his mouth, though a low growl still continued to come from him. The pair grew silent, except for the soft growls. The pair of males entered the tavern, taking seats far away from the rest of patrons. The right's ears seemed to perk forward again. His nose twitched ever so slightly as the new scents flooded his own senses. The male on the left turned his head, starting to lick at his shoulder a bit, which revealed a jagged gash, the wound's bleeding had slowed down, but it still seemed to ooze.
The barkeep sighed and stirred her drink with her pinky. “I have an errand to attend to. Anyone want to join? Action, fun, class. It’s going to be quite the trip and I could really use some helpers.”
“I’d like to go with you but it’s unfortunate that I’ve got to go…” The Silencer stood up from his stool. “I’m sorry, but I’m sure we can talk another time…” he said to Hinata.
He placed some golden and platinum coins on the counter and left the tavern, still cloaked and not revealing his face for anyone to see.
“Hm, anyone else. Any trained assassins? That would be useful.” The barkeep started pouring herself another drink but stopped and took a swig from the bottle instead.
Hinata sighed.
"I'd be willing to go, but I'm no assassin."
"You could say I am a trained assassin. I am an angel trained to kill after all." Calix said to them.
The man on crutches smiled, standing up from the barstool. "I'm a sniper , so I'd be willing to come. Nagi would have to come too, he's pretty much my defence."
"I'm semi-omnipotent, worked for a few thousand years serving the She, and could kill a man with discarded fingernails. Yes, I am an assassin." Eris said politely.
“Well I just need three people that can kill. Fight amongst yourselves over who goes.”
"I mean, if you need to get some aggression out this is the perfect mission for you." Her clothes flickered and changed into a red fit-and-flare dress accentuated with delicate gold jewelry and red heels. Her golden hair changed into a pinned up quaff. "Or if you like the fifties because that's where we're headed."
