"Something about growing up, I think." Kesari mused, tilting her head slightly as she thought about it. "Becoming our own people, if I remember my grandfather's half hour lectures right."

Asha nodded, then sought Kesari's arm. "The food smells delicious. Care to have a bite?" she asked by hidden request. A crowd of people wasn't exactly the best place for a blind woman to wander through to find some food.

Kesari huffed a laugh, nodding as she guided Asha's hand to her arm. "I could eat. What kind of food d'you think they've got? I'm sucker for cocktail shrimp."

Asha lifted her head slightly, sniffing. "Hmm, I do detect a hint of shrimp. I also smell all kinds of different foods it's hard to pick out what is what."

They reached one of the tables along the Hall's walls, a variety of food and drinks spread out along them. "If someone handed you a food item, could you tell what it was just by smell?"

@croccin-champagne

"Huh. Neat." Kesari nodded, before nodding to the food. "Alright, so what're you hungry for? There's an extremely large amount of food here."

"Hmmm, I'm craving some duck at the moment." She tilted her head this way and that, shamelessly eavesdropping on nearby conversations. More than once, her blindness was mentioned and how it would render her practically useless.

"Let's see if we can find some." She looked over at Asha, snorting. She knew what eavesdropping looked like, and she could only imagine how useful the heightened hearing would be for that. Moving along the table and scanning the food items, she grabbed two small plates, searching for the duck that was bound to be there.

Asha tapped her lips with one hand, then brought it down to feel along the table. It was more to keep herself from wandering too far from it and to know where it was so she didn't bump into it. She usually just grabbed food and ate–she wasn't that picky–but she supposed that this was an as good opportunity as always to see just how helpless her Guardian thought her to be.

"Ah, our first problem." Kesari murmured, narrowing her eyes at the table. "Two, actually. I can't find the shrimp, for starters. Second, I don't actually know what duck looks like, meat wise."

@ElderGod-kirky group

Asha chuckled and used her nose to find the meat section. It wasn't too far from where they currently were. She then tilted her head and sought out her favorite meaty scent, pointing to the other side of the table. "Seafood is over there."

@croccin-champagne

"Thanks." Kesari nodded, looking between the two sections. "Split, gather, and reconvene?" She suggested, taking Asha's hand to hand her the plate. "I'll be right over there, in the off chance something manages to go horribly wrong. Which is, honestly, more likely than anyone actually thinks."

@croccin-champagne

"See you in however long it takes to load this thing with shrimp without looking weird." Kesari said, turning and heading towards the other end of the table.

She chuckled again and found the duck. She took off a few slices, then grabbed random foods to go with the meat. She did surprisingly well with judging where her plate was, though it was just a pile of food.

Kesari grabbed what could've been considered too much shrimp, before picking around for a few other food items. Her eyes lit up as she spotted the roasted vegetable somebody had brought, immediately popping a shrimp in her mouth and starting for those.

Asha finished piling her plate and turned around to find someplace to sit. People were generous enough to move out of the Witch's way as she strolled about, mindlessly eating some of the food with just her fingers. She didn't care. In her mind, it was all finger food.

Once Kesari was satisfied with her selection-never turn down a free meal-, she turned to find Asha. Furrowing her brow, she scanned the crowd, relying on the bond to help find the short Witch.
