Eyyyyyy
Hallo
Okay, so I have a character in mind, do you want to do temps?
Yes please. I need to develop a character…
Name:
Gender:
Powers:
Appearance:
Clothing:
Personality:
Likes:
Dislikes:
Talents:
Backstory:
Other:
Okay, this might take me some time
Ooorrrrr…
Hmm….
Wheels are turning and options have presented themselves in my mind
Best way to develop 'em, right?
Name: Catori Hallowe
Gender: Female
Powers: She’s a witch with strong ties to the element of fire.
Appearance: Dark hair cut to just below her shoulders, usually braided back, or loose with smaller braids scattered throughout. Dark skinned, with various scars covering her body, including on her wrists from being tied down. Tribal flames and symbols tattooed on her back, arms, and rib-area. About 5'6 and decently muscled, but on the thinner side due to forgetting to eat.
Clothing: Wears (badly) hemmed men's trousers, and white button ups with the sleeves rolled up to her elbows. Black riding boots, and a belt covered in pouches, in which she keeps herbs and things. A small silver pendant of a sparrow she only ever takes off to keep it safe.
Personality: A pretty fun and laid back person, but has a temper. Her angry smile is absolutely terrifying. Loves learning, and helping other people. Outspoken, but knows when to mind her tongue. Can occasionally be manipulative.
Likes: Fire, reading about magics, music and dancing, and flirting with any vaguely humanoid being.
Dislikes: Stuffy people, small spaces, and assholes.
Talents: Staying awake for inhuman lengths of time, getting people to like her, magic, and memorizing inconsequential facts. She's a talented singer as well, but rarely actually sings, especially not in front of people.
Backstory: The youngest of her siblings, she spent quite a bit of time getting in and out of trouble with her brothers. When she was fifteen, she snuck out to visit a friend, but didn't return home. Despite exhaustive efforts to find her, she remained held captive by a man using her as a magic generator for a year, before managing to escape entirely thanks to chance. Her kidnapper was never found, and she lived in fear for quite a while. Now, at nineteen, her older brother finally convinced her to leave home to explore the world, and ease her fears.
Other: Gets so excited or absorbed in things she forgets to eat. She never sleeps because of nightmares.
Here's my babette
Oh?
I have a blind African girl with life powers. How do you feel about that?
D'you mean you want to switch?
I mean, it doesn't really matter to me. You want to see her and see which should be which?
Sure! Something tells me I'll already love her tho
lmao, she isn't really all that developed, but here goes (this is just copied and pasted, so the temp isn't the same)
Name: Asha Kayode
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Birthday: June 15
Sexuality: Questioning
Height: 5ft 5in
Weight: 130lbs
Figure/build: Slim and compact. Not very muscular.
Hair color: Black
Hairstyle: Long and unbound most of the time. Sometimes a bandanna headband.
Eye color: Milky white
Skin color: Earthen brown
Tattoos: White symmetrical patterns across her body.
Piercings: Single dangly earring in her left ear.
Scars/distinguishing marks: She's blind.
Preferred style of clothing: Bright and full of patterns. As she can't see, she doesn't really care if anything matches or not. Usually a patterned cloth around her chest held up with a strap around her neck and a layered skirt. Almost always goes barefoot.
Frequently worn jewelry: Beaded ankle bracelet. Four silver bracelets.
Powers: Life. She can create any living thing from another from something in nature–like dirt. She can't, however, raise the dead. Thanks to being blind, she can sense the life around her and use it to "see."
Personality: Very calm and collected, but does have a sense of humor. She doesn't panic in sticky situations. She's more of a sidekick kind of person as opposed to the hero. She doesn't like the spotlight and is perfectly fine with letting others gain all the fame and glory.
Likes: Helping others
Dislikes: Bullies and rude people
Fears/phobias: Death
Favorite color: White
Background: Asha's memory has been wiped, so she doesn't know anything about her past. But she was once a healer for her clan. The markings on her skin signify her status as the Head Healer, in charge of all the other healers. She would take care of the more high-risk and/or sickest patients, whether that be physical or mental. She has been blind for nearly her entire life, as she was born with already deteriorating vision. By the time she was 3, she was basically blind–she could see simple shadows, but that was it. By her 4th birthday, she couldn't see anything.
Sksksksk goddammit I love her.
Allow me to go peruse my characters for someone who fits the guardian role, though I might end up having to make one
Lmao, I'm glad you like her
I dunno, though. I feel like Asha is better as an off to the side character
You sure? 'Cause I could probably use Kes if I took away her bloodbending
Well, it's your rp. Whichever you feel like works for me
AaAaaaAaaaAaaAAAA
You know how bad at choosing I am. Hmm….well, I adore Kesari's aesthetic, so unless you like, really really think Asha works better as a secondary, we could do that?
Alright, that works for me.
It'll be pushing Asha out of her comfort zone, so it'll be interesting to see how she does
Want me to start then, or d'you want to?
I have no clue where you're going with this rp, so it's probably best if you start this out.
I just realized that I have no clue either…okay, so should the guardian/witch thing be like a punishment for the guardian? Or should it be a thing that happens when witches reach a certain age, like someone with Guardian blood is just randomly bonded to them?
Hmmm, how about this:
Whenever a Witch is born, her Guardian is born as well. At the dawn of their 18th birthday, there is a ceremony where they two finally meet and are officially bonded together through an exchange of blood. But first: the Witch is privately shown her destiny through the crystal ball of the Elder Witch. Once that happens, everyone gathers at the main hall as both Witch and Guardian slice their palms and hold wounded hands as they recite an oath to each other–the Witch promising to be the best she can be to fulfill her destiny; the Guardian swearing to guide the witch from start to finish, and to protect her till death. Food and drinks and dancing, where the two newly bonded are expected to spend time with each other to get to know each other. Then, then sunrise following, they set out on the quest to fulfill the Witch's destiny.
That got more detailed than I thought…
Ooohhh, I like it. That'd still allow for Kes's history in the military, too, 'cause that's a huge part of her character and who she is. Alright, give me a second or two
