If any of you have seen 'Over the Garden Wall" this is very similar- hence the resemblance in the names. When you cross over the Garden Wall, it's basically purgatory. Your not alive, but your not dead yet either. It's a lighthearted cartoon and very fun, but there is a somewhat dark message behind it. So in my role-play these kids, (ranging from age 12 to 15) are exploring an old historical mansion in the woods. Obviously something goes wrong, and they end up running from 'ghosts' that are really just rats in the walls. Well maybe… They attempt at climbing a cracked stone wall at the edge of the property , but most of them slip and fall over the side. When they gain their bearings, they realize they can't climb back over the wall, so their trapped, lost in the deep dark woods that they were told never to enter. Are they dead, half dead, or fully alive? We won't know until they can get back over the wall.
Since the inspiration of this show is PG, so is the role-play.

Haven stood just on the edge of the tree line, with the road directly in front of her and the unknown directly behind. She waited patiently for her friends to join her, so the could finally make the journey to the abandoned mansion. She'd been waiting for so long to see it, and she would finally be able to carry out her wish!
Avar walked nervously in the fading daylight, her strangely white skin making her stand out in growing darkness. She spotted Haven, and relaxed, rushing over to embrace her friend.
Sean walk along towards where Haven had told them to meet. He brushed back the hair that had fallen in front of his face with his fingers and saw Haven and Avar in the distance. He walked towards them, eager to explore the abandoned mansion he was curious as to what they would find inside, he had heard rumors that the place was haunted but he wouldn't believe it until he saw it for himself.
